Ok so some things I’ve gotta get off my chest because I want/need someone to talk about this with.
I’m tickled pink that Webby is April Duck, and this comes from the fact that Webby was originally created to be a condensed version of April, May, and June in the ‘87 cartoon because the creators thought they didn’t need anymore triplets. Watching the ‘87 cartoon I always felt bad for Webby, because she was the only girl (Mrs. Beakley was great but always busy you know?). When I found out she was a condensed form of AMJ I used to imagine May and June there with her so she wouldn’t be so lonely. (OG!April wore pink so I just imagined Webby was April). So I was honestly losing my stuffing when they revealed Webby was April. It just felt right to me. I get why some people don’t like it, but I LOVE it.
Now I’m neutral on the whole clone of Scrooge thing, mostly because I can see it and I can’t see it. If I’m honest I would have rather been a clone of Donald or some other FOWL operative, heck even a combination of Isabella Finches and some Duck’s DNA could’ve been cool. Heck, even a test tube baby would’ve been fun. I DO love the way she says dad to Scrooge and still goes after Beakley. That little MEEP sound was ADORABLE.
DONALD YOU BETTER ADOPT WEBBY!APRIL TOO BUSTER. I think this is honestly one of the biggest problem I have with the finale. Webby just got these sisters, and she’s shown to think of them as sisters already, and you’re not going to let them bond???!!!! For shame! Also I’ve always secretly loved the idea of Webby calling Donald dad ok.
Another big problem I have is this is FOWL. They wouldn’t have to kidnap Webby they would have programmed all the girls with activation words like sleeper agents.
I just can’t help but imagine Webby growing up with her sisters and going by April, ok?
