Action/Adventure Cartoon Recommendation List

So, still bummed over Thundercats Roar and its turn of the franchise into a lighthearted comedy? Do you feel like action cartoons are becoming more and more scarce? Well, luckily for you, there is still plenty of action-oriented animation to enjoy! I had an amazing time today at Florence Comic Con! I cosplayed Phineas from Phineas and Ferb, and my sister cosplayed Sam from Danny Phantom. This turned out to be one of my best convention experiences; everyone was super nice and all the artists/vendors had great stuff :)

Today the Department of Awesome Parenting is giving a standing ovation to artist and mother Christina Borchardt, who created this phenomenal Rocket Raccoon costume for her (now) 6-year-old son Chase. Borchardt is actually in the process of making Guardians of the Galaxy character costumes for her entire family, but Chase’s costume was completed in time for him to wear it out for Halloween.

Borchardt made each element of this astonishingly realistic costume by hand and documented the painstaking process on the Replica Props Forum. The extraordinary mask, which features a functional hinged jaw, was made by first taking a mold of her son’s face using low endothermic plaster bandages. She used the mold to create a plaster cast onto which she sculpted Rocket’s face.
