"homosexuality is unnatural! there's only two genders! it's a sin-"

I'm sorry, have you seen NATURE???

and there's so many more species than this that exhibit homosexuality, varying genders, etc. SO! MANY!

it's very much a natural thing. it always has been. unfortunately, while homosexuality is found in many species, homophobia is only found in one

ALSO THE ARTIST IS HUMON, FIND THEM AT HUMONCOMICS.COM!! was so sure I had included that but apparently I forgot, so sorry!

In honor of nonbinary awareness week, here's a friendly reminder that:

-nonbinary people don't need to "prove" anything to you

-nonbinary people can dress however they like

-nonbinary people are diverse and come from a wide range of backgrounds

-there's no "right" way to be nonbinary

-you should respect everyone's pronouns, regardless of their gender identity

-if you're nonbinary, you are valid and I'm sending love your way

Current Mood: Crying While Watching Blue’s Clues Pride Song

It’s sung to the tune of The Ants Go Marching One By One song!!!

Another reason why Blues Clues and You is like the best reboot ever

some highlights from the notes 💖

Stop.

Oh, my god. I'm already crying with asexuality included.

Now you're telling me other groups feel the same way?

There's legit tears down my face.

The more you look at it the more you love it.

The drag queen is holding a BLM sign.

There's a Hijabi on the all races float (and if you look closely at the flag, I think the owl is indigenous).

One of the babas is disabled.

They could have just stopped at including all the flags.

But no. They said "I don't care if they're animals. I'm going to make it very clear we're including all races and disabled people."

And it's such small details, but they're there.

-fae

Found 2 more hidden BLM flags.

And I consider myself pretty versed in queer identities, but even I don't know what some of these flags are.

Which really shows that you've never had the opportunity to feel validated like this, and that makes me love it even more.

I already made my own post about this as well, but it seems like a good idea to add the info on this post too, since it’s really taken off. There are (at least) 30 different flags plus assorted other representation. They include:

Pride, Progress Pride, BLM Progress Pride, Lesbian, Gay Man

Trans, Nonbinary — Dolphin wheelchair user, Top surgery beaver

Gender Queer, Genderfluid, Intersex Demigender, Demiboy, Demigirl, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Demisexual, Gray Asexual, Aromantic — Blind bird

Bigender, Genderflux, Omnisexual, Neutrois, Maverique, Pangender, Drag — llama(?) with prosthetic leg

Trigender, Ally, Two-Spirit, and Gender Questioning — Hijabi owl and Native American owl

I didn't even see that stuff the first time I saw this post!! I love it even more I'm crying so hard ksbdkdvsks

Okay guys, I don’t normally encourage this sort of copyrighted stuff on youtube thing, please find a way to throw your money directly at this show, but I only did this because I felt like you all needed to see this right now.

This is the episode Neither Boy Nor Girl from canceled early 2000s Disney Channel show Lloyd in Space, and it is the one thing I really remembered the show for. It stuck with me when I only saw it at maybe 6 or 7 years old.

In this episode, Lloyd and space friends get into an argument with some girls, and both sides decide to ask an impartial third party alien, Zoit. Except neither side knows their gender. From there they try to figure it out using stereotypes, but Zoit goes against them all in one way or another. Then they finally find out why…

Zoit is genderless. However, Zoit will have to choose whether to be a boy or girl, biologically speaking, soon. Everyone tries to influence their choice while beginning to enjoy some activities from the other side, but in the end, it’s pretty ambiguous whether they chose anything and it’s made clear that their gender is none of Lloyd/co.s business, and certainly not as important as Lloyd and co. (clearly in the wrong) make it out to be, it does not define them. It is exists at all, it should be an afterthought. Also, Zoit is implied to be bi or pan.

This episode, brought to us by the creators of Recess in its third season during 2002 was well and truly ahead of its time. The one downside is that they constanly refer to Zoit as he/she interchangeably, but that might not even be an issue since Zoit doesn’t seem to care.
