okay.

 so the episode i just watched is about a kid, an ORPHAN who just recently lost his mom, and had to live at a fire station until he was “hired” to be a part of a sitcom.  this child became so wrapped up in the show he took it as reality, pretending it was his real family to hide the fact he had no one to care for him. pretending everyone actually meant their compliments and didn’t just need him to bring in new viewers with the “family with an animal as a member is funny” gimmick, expecting this life to last forever. by the time it finally dawns on him how fake everything is, he’s nowhere near ready to take care of himself or find real caretakers, and bumbles around aimlessly, if full of hope.

I DID NOT COME HERE TO WATCH BOJACK HORSEMAN

The reason wbb and bojack are both so good at emotion, despite their vastly different audiences, is they know how to suprise you.  bojack is a self reflective moody, sad show, making the punches of hope all the more powerful.  we bare bears is a cheerful show, meant to sooth you when you feel bad, making the punches of drama hurt all the time worse because you don’t see them coming. in both cases, they come off as normal episodes, only truely damaging those who have been around long enough to become attached to the characters and know what cuts them.

to put it bluntly,  context is a WITCH in this episodes case.

Guys, I’ll never be over this, I swear T_T And Craig deserves all the praise and love! <3
