I actually remember the old Palm OS! That blank rectangle between the four circles below the screen was actually a handwriting box! You didn’t have an on screen or physical keyboard, you had to manually write out each letter to do any sort of typing.

Of course, they did eventually have built-in keyboards, but those were a pretty penny for the longest time.

I actually had one that was not only color, but had a keyboard that lit up, and a camera that could be moved to face any direction with those old chunky Memory Sticks from Sony back in that era.

It had some really fun games that you don’t really see anymore, like this game that was all about manually digging out a dungeon and drawing in monsters to keep the heroes out.
