“The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance” Gets Delayed Till 2025 As Part Of The Disney Afternoon 35th Anniversary

Sad news Disney Afternoon fans, “The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance” got delayed once again this time slated for a Fall 2025 release date according to Jake S. Friedman.

Likely the reason for this delay is to coincide with The Disney Afternoon 35th anniversary on 2025 and Disney TVA's 100th show ("StuGo" & "Robogobo") already airing on that time.

The Disney Afternoon’s’ programming block launched 34 years ago, September 10, 1990.

The block will turn 35 years in 2025, wishful thinking for a crossover series with all characters like Jellystone! from MAX getting ordered.

As of right now there's two major Disney Afternoon IPs still left to be rebooted:

Raven-Symoné Interested On Developing New Disney Television Animation Series And Reving Some Of The Studio's Old IPs For A New Generation Of Fans.

During the "Big City Greens The Movie: Spacecation" premiere, Raven-Symoné expressed interest on developing some things with Disney Television Animation, such as new shows, films and specials.

Symoné also wants to help revive some of the studio's old IPs for new audiences as part of her overall deal with Disney Branded Television.

Disney Publishing Worldwide & Disney Deluxe Re-Publishing Adventures Of The Gummi Bears Comics As Next Entry On Disney Afternoon Adventures Re-Issue Series

Start to celebrate Disney Television Animation's 40th Anniversary year and 100th series debut year with one of the ones who started it all, since 2022 Disney Press & Disney Deluxe have re-published the Disney Afternoon Adventures Comics in different collections with "Darkwing Duck" on 2022 and TaleSpin & Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

The next issue slated for February 6,2024 is a republish of the Adventures of The Gummi Bears comics from the Disney Adventures magazine.

Probably he hints a voice-over role on the Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin reboots, however the original rumors with TaleSpin mentioning that Disney wanted Point Grey Pictures, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg using The Disney Afternoon as big priority for TV as part of their overall development deal, it won't be too surprising with the sucess of Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem.

So hoping that Point Grey Pictures snagged Goof Troop & Gummi Bears reboots for development, good luck🤞☘️

The Disney Afternoon: The Making of a Television Renaissance from Disney Editorial, Disney Publishing Worldwide,Disney Hyperion,Disney Press & Jake S. Friedman is set to drop on November 4, 2024.

1 month before Disney Television Animation 40th Anniversary.

One theory is that the book might feature a section dedicated to the 100th Disney Television Animation series and it’s future lineup.

Disneyland Previews Lastest Disney Television Animation-Walt Disney Imagineering Collab “El CapiTOON Theatre” & “Mickey Trought The Ears” As Part Of Mickey’s Toontown.

Disneyland has previewed it’s new attraction “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” and the queue presents the lastest Disney Television Animation collab “El CapiTOON Theatre” and “Mickey Trought The Ears”.

The collab features props and desings of different Disney TVA-Productions for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures,Mickey Mouse and The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse for Mickey Trought The Ears.

Another part of the collab features “El CapiTOON Theatre” an part of the queue who features props and nods to Disney Afternoon productions such as Adventures Of The Gummi Bears,DuckTales,Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck as well artwork based on Mickey Mouse and The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse.

The nods and props to The Disney Afternoon are a gift of Walt Disney Imagineering to Disney Television Animation in honor of it’s 40 anniversary and 100 animated series debut on 2024.

Disney Television Animation dosn’t turn 40 until 2024 however the celebration can come early with the classics!

The talented Darren Wilson has provided a new piece of artwork named “Disney Afternoon” who will be available at EPCOT Festival of the Arts!

Sunni Gummi

Sunni Gummi is a preteen and the youngest of Gummi Bears. She appears in the Disney Afternoon show The Adventures of the Gummi Bears. In contrast to her brother Cubbi, Sunni dreams of becoming a princess. However, she is shown to be much more independent than her brother and she can be also be stubborn, sometimes to the point of being selfish. However, most of the time, she is caring, selfless and curious and often helps out her best friend Princess Calla and Cavin the aspiring knight in saving their kingdom. She is fasinated with human culture, fashion and history and not so much with her own Gummi culture and history. Besides being a princess, the thing Sunni wants most is to be a grown up.
