Hello!

I was just curious if you've been following Waid and Mora's World's Finest. Last thing I remember Dick did survive Kingdom Come—there was this panel of him, his daughter and Bruce in the hospital. Then why was there a headstone with Red Robin written on it in WF? 😭😭😭

I know... I guess it's to give us readers a fright that the future of the Kingdom Come world will change due to what happened with David earlier in World's Finest. 🫣 And they're doing a damn good job of scaring me, I can tell you!

Dick and Mar'i not only survived Kingdom Come in the original comic, they were still alive when Bruce Wayne was buried some twenty years later. There's a picture from the burial in Justice Society of America #22. Dick is sitting with Mar'i and Ibn and their two children.

There are a few things that puzzle me with the visit to the Kingdom Come universe/Earth 22. Dick is called Nightwing and Dan Mora writes that it's before he called himself Red Robin. I don't remember ever seeing that before, though I do remember seeing him in a Nightwing-like suit in The Kingdom Nightstar. 🤷‍♀️ The bio of Dick Grayson of Earth 22 doesn't mention him being Nightwing, though with his daughter calling herself Nightstar, it really should be a combination of Starfire and Nightwing... Maybe Mark Waid decided fix this?

We could also see another Robin in WF # 21, which I'm pretty sure I've never seen in KC. The bio of Earth 22 Bruce Wayne only mentions Dick as adopted son and Ibn al Xu'ffasch as son.

Well, we'll just have to see what the future holds...

What do you think robstar would be up to now as trouble in Tokyo came out in 2006 and was the last we saw them in that iteration version of them ignoring teen titans go vs teen titans movie I don’t know if you get my question hopefully u do 💜

I think I get it. If they were aging normally behind the scenes, you're asking how old they'd be now and what they'd be doing?

Well, what they'd be up to now, given that they'd be in their early thirties...

I would say married, moved out of the Tower and operating as a duo hero pair. I tend to headcanon that they had Mar'i early; she'd be about 14, Jake is about two/two-and-a-half years younger than Mar'i in my head so he'd be about 12.

heyyyy I'm not sure if you read any robin/starfire/nightwing/TeenTitans comics...but do you have any recs for comics to get for good robinxstarfire or Nightwingxstarfire moments in the comics?

It's hard to find them because there are SO MANY out there. Thanks!

I do have some recs, actually!

For starters there's the classic New Teen Titans run. Dick and Kory are shipteased a lot up until about issue 20 when they get together and then they are precious and adorable established couple for a good chunk of run. There's miscellaneous drama here and there like Kory's first boyfriend being a spy for HIVE and the arranged marriage thing and also Raven almost being a shitty homewrecker but for the most part this is where you're going to find most of the classic and iconic "moments" between them. Stop before you get to the 90s era run, extract only the proposal and the wedding scans from that and ignore everything else.

The 2003 animated series's tie-in comics (Teen Titans Go!, not to be confused with the show of the same name or its tie-in comic run) of course has some cute animated verse RobStar.

The first three issues of the 2008 Titans run has some good DickKory moments. They break up in the fourth issue for... dumb reasons, but wind up becoming aimable exes and there's some nice interaction with Kory and Dick-as-Batman later in the run. (He was filling in for Bruce who was MIA and presumed dead at the time.)

The Outsiders has some nice moments, until Starfire leaves the team.

The Kingdom Come prequel tie-in all about Mar'i AKA Nightstar has Dick and Kory being Good Parents to their little girl in the Kingdom Come Elseworld AU. (The main book of which also features Mar'i, though Starfire has since died offscreen.)

The Nightwing: New Order Elseworld AU also has some great DickKory with kiddo moments though I'm not sure I'd really recommend that, the premise is kind of dumb.

Dick makes a stop in Starfire's 2014 solo series (titled merely Starfire) about her adjusting to Earth life in Key West. I'd actually rec the whole run just because it's super cute and fun and adorable, even if Dick's only briefly in it.

Aaaaaand that's basically my list, feel free to jump in with any other recs, people.

what are your favorite AU or Elseworlds version of characters?

Probably Dick and Kory both the Kingdom Come and Nightwing New Order, well at before plot happens or ideally if misery and/or bad choices on character’s behalf didn’t happen lol

I am just in love with the very idea of a DickKory family with the two being wholesome to each other as a loving couple and above all else being there for their child.

Yeah but if anything else, it mainly for both Mar’i and Jake.

Heck my ideal version of the DCU would have not just Dick and Kory married but raising both Mar’i and Jake as basically a family of supers a la the Incredibles and the Fantastic Four. Clark and Lois were able to do it and Mister Miracle and Big Barda for the longest time are married so why not lmao

Other AU/Elseworld versions of our heroes I like include Red Son Superman, Post Flashpoint Earth 2 Dick Grayson, Chibi!Batman from Earth 42, All Star Superman, and the Justice Titans from the Superman/Batman storyline ‘Mash Up’
