Fionna and Cake has been quite the awesome experience for the ADVENTURE TIME fan inside of me! I don’t want it to end…but it was still cool to get another story from that universe, even if it might be the last one for a long while.

Cause still like why couldn’t Simon have been like “I’m excited for you to go on this trip let’s go out when you get back!” And Betty could have like kissed him goodby and been like “It’s a date😉” then they send each-other letters for six months with updates on how it’s going until Betty does come back one day and Simon is there to pick her up from the airport and they have dinner somewhere. They live a Normal life getting married happy ever after until the mushroom bomb where they both survive as immortals somehow find Marcy and raise her as a daughter forever 😭😭

Simon thought he was in another world as Shermy, but that was actually future Ooo, and that book had been written by Astrid!
She grew up inspired by his stories, which is why the crown was in the book and why the story of Casper and Nova resonated with him so much!
GOLBetty sent him there so he could see his own story through someone else's eyes, and then because of that he was able to heal and share his story, which led Astrid to write Casper and Nova, which...
To give you some insight on just how absolutely insane this new Fionna and Cake episode is, Cake encourages this sexy alternate dimension Ice King (voiced by BRIAN DAVID GILBERT BY THE WAY) to commit interdimensional selfcest with Simon and he admits he THOUGHT ABOUT IT???? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHOW???
I still think the most tragic part about Betty’s character is she might’ve actually been able to save Simon and stay together if she hadn’t jumped into the future. We know that he only became the Ice King because he kept wearing the crown despite what it was doing to him. And for a good chunk of time he was so devastated about losing her that he didn’t value his own life enough to resist putting it on again. When PB and Marceline go into the labyrinth they learn that some people (like Santa) had only put on the crown once, gone a little crazy, but still retained most of their sanity and lived relatively normal lives. Even after a few years of wearing the Crown (in Simon and Marcy), he’s still mostly there, and only goes crazy when he puts it on. It STILL takes another 4-5 years of him wearing it for him to decide he’s too far gone to be around Marceline without hurting her. If Betty had stayed she might’ve convinced him to get rid of the crown after he wore it the first time and prevented any further suffering- he would’ve lived with the condition in its most manageable form. They could’ve been okay. They could’ve been happy. Her love for him, her need to save him might’ve been the very thing that ruined him in the first place.
But then they might’ve just died in the Mushroom war if that happened. Without his Ice Powers he wouldn’t have been able to protect young Marcy or himself. None of them would have made it. Which presents a really fucked up paradox. They all survived in the current canon, but at the worst possible price. I’m SO excited to see what Fionna and Cake does with their characters I just know it’s going to have me sobbing in a heap on the floor
WAIT. OMG. It took me awhile to process that Fionna and Cake are, indeed, still just in Simon’s mind and not in a parallel sorta universe, and that’s why cheers is the only thing playing and everything is so mediocre in Fionna’s world (because Simon craves the mediocrity so hard rn) BUT! I also get why Fionna, for the past 3 days, has been thinking about Ice Prince and going on adventures with cake!
Simon said that for the past 3 days that kid kept coming up to him asking about Fionna and Cake, and Fionna said she’d been having those dreams for 3 nights, which would imply that the reason Fionna is having those dreams is because Simon keeps thinking about “his” old fan fiction stories and their adventures!
Or maybe I’m wrong about everything- lol

Adventure Time is one of the most unique shows that ever came out alongside with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Regular Show. Being the show that saved Cartoon Network when it was in the dark ages back in the early 2010s. This show is so brilliant for its creativity and writing. This show had it all, for example…
1) Finn growing up in every season from being immature twelve years old
to a mature seventeen years old.
Making us, the fans to relate to him more as we grow old with him and develops as the show passes on to each season.
2) It’s the combination of comedic by random humor
With plot that pretty much made everyone love the show for like Simon Petrikov/Ice King story and his interaction Marceline
3) It’s great setting that made the show most interesting, telling what might Finn and Jake will find and disover as they travel the land of Ooo
It’s also set on on post apocalyptic Earth
4) It divines into mature themes such as
Love
Lost
Abandonment
and the list keeps going on of how much they’ve shown
4) The characters developing to the show like Marceline and Princess Bubblegum were always neutral towards each other but they patch things up in season 7. Started to hang out more
5) The Songs
Now that I’ve rewatched the show and I can say that this was one of the best cartoons shows that I’ve ever watched and It’s hard to see it go. Without it, we won’t be seeing cartoon shows such as Star vs The Forces of Wall, Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, OK KO Lets Be Heroes and Gravity Falls. This show was a huge part of my childhood from my late elementary years to college. Thank you AT Crew, you guys did one hell of a job making this mathematical show for characters and story you’ve provided for eight years. The fun will never end, it’s always an adventure time!
