Project DCA Doll update, #2!

Oh yeah Moon has a 3D face now!

And hands & feet(tho obvi not finished yet, i need to do a second pass on the hands to bulk them up slightly, Sun's hand is there for scale).

I'm finally on the clay stage despite my schedule consistently fighting me. Woo.

I also have aluminum foil this time around to help sculpt the bases of pieces so the pieces stay lightweight and avoid it being solid clay. Yaaaay.

H. Hey. I did it. I dropped everything project wise since October to hyperfocus on this specific project, and guess what?

I motherfrickin did it.

Look. It's the boy. Here he comes. What crimes will he commit while he awaits his partner in crime to be made? Who knows. Lock up yer glitter glue folks!

Sunrise has arrived!

A near-fully joint articulated and posable figure made almost entirely by hand, made out of carved popsicle sticks, cardboard, papermache, glue, air dry clay, and wearing entirely hand sewn pants, handsewn decals from stripes to the ruffles and all!

This project has been months in the making, and I am so fricken proud of it, okay?

Pretty much this is a comic I started working on back in May and got pretty attached to. A combined take of several story takes; retrograde amnesia, animatronic liberation as sentient beings with rights, the angst of thinking you’ve finally made it safe and sound only for your worst nightmare to return in full, and the exploratory look on how the dynamic has changed two individuals as sides of the same coin whom have grown and weathered hell together and come out stronger for it-into two sides of different coins, misaligned as they no longer click; one side weathered with the experiences it’s survived, and the other side wiped clean, having never remembered the hell they went through let alone healing from it. Oh, and the whole ‘falling in love all over again, remixed,’ too, of course. 💜

When the DCA is glitching and yer their handler, chillin’ w/ them in Parts ‘n Service while waiting for a qualified mechanic to come help fix them kjhkjh none the wiser that ur kind of constantly testing their glitching coding as u keep flipping back and forth as scanning as ‘an intruder’ ‘staff member’ and their usual ‘Best Friend.’ Somehow ur so unperceptive that ur being calm actually helps keep them being calm lol

I sketched out some profiles for the boys last night so I could have a solid reference for how I wanna draw them, I still have to do eclipse but I figured I'd share smth so yall know I'm not dead lol (expression practices are next💕)
