I think one of the things I love most about Kingdom is how dignified the Crown Prince is. In a lot of media I’ve watched, the protagonist is goofy, or ill-tempered, or very dramatic, but you don’t get that sense with Prince Yi Chang. He’s measured, he’s intelligent. He gives into his emotions sometimes, but there’s this genuine love for his people, this caring, that reels him back in. And sometimes, in some scenes, he’s just so damn awkward because it puts him out of place.
