Ruvyzvat was a very closed off man. His emotions and thought process wasn’t something he put on display, years of being on the streets taught him that. He only really ever did it around Sarvente because of how close he was with her.

When he met you, he never expected how patient and dead set you were with him and getting him to get warmed up to you. To be honest, he really expected you to give up or reprimand him of his unconventional ways of showing emotion.

But you kept coming back. You never left. Everyday you would greet him with soft affection and a cheerful smile. It was so adorable to him. It was almost impossible for him to say he just wanted to hold and protect you.

4 years. 4 years you tried so hard to get him to open up, to display any sliver of emotion. He wanted to. He wanted to so badly. Every night, he thought about how terrible of a boyfriend he was.

But tonight, maybe tonight was going to be the key to unlocking his shadowed emotions.

You were getting ready to go back to your house after hanging out with him at the church all day. Ruvyzvat was laying in bed, thinking about cuddling you. He was so close to letting his guard down with you.

You walked into the room he sleeps in after knocking. You smile slightly and make your way over to him. “Hey, oreo.” you chuckled as you put a hand on his forehead. “I’m gonna head back now. Stay safe, okay?”

You gave him a nose kiss and turn to leave. At the very last possible second, Ruvyzvat grabs your wrist. You look back over at him and see something new.

Pleading. Desperation. Need. A shaky Russian voice says to you:

“Oh- woah. Y/N, you...woah.” he could barely talk, basking in the beauty of your face. Your eyes, your skin and the way the sun reflects off of it, your eyelashes, everything. He couldn’t stop basking in it.

“I...decided I don’t have to live with what my parents forced on me for all those years. My face can feel the sun again.” you smiled widely. Ruvyzvat would smile if he could, and he just walked over and kissed your forehead.
