Galaxy in Your Hands

I think sometimes it's easy to forget that Star Wars worldbuilding/the Jedi's ability to sense the future isn't meant to be hard and fast, that they're not meant to be perfect barometers of anything. That the future is in motion, your choices matter, they affect things, it's not already set in stone, that you're meant to live in the present and actually be present in it, not get hung up on the future and what is/isn't, because you can't predict it with 100% certainty. Whether Obi-Wan can see pieces of the future here is helpful, but it can't be the foundation for his actions, he can't act like it's already happened, because it might not happen at all, that's how the Force works! That's how Star Wars and the Jedi work--you're meant to be mindful of the future and what's likely to happen, but it's not already set. It's about the balance of the two, what's likely to happen versus what you make happen. JEDI PHILOSOPHY AND WORLDBUILDING IS SO FASCINATING.

The idea of the Diath family,  known for producing lots of Jedi - and strong Jedi at that - having a historic tie to Tatooine is very interesting in the grand scheme of things. 

What they’re referring to, specifically, is the Tusken blessing “Blessed be your going out from us”, which was Sidrona Diath’s last statement to the Council, and said in Tusken. The Diaths don’t just have ties to Tatooine in general, they specifically have ties to the Tuskens, and that’s HIGHLY interesting.

I had to fit in this one last super-rushed prediction sketch before tomorrow. Hope you find this as funny as I did.

They were on the other side of a raging inferno, a lava filled cut in this Sith forsaken planet. And despite it truly being too far to see what was happening clearly, Gree knew immediately that the people wielding sabers towards Palpatine were not the Jedi it should be. 

The feeling of fear was only confirmed when Master Luminara came barreling onto their position. “Master Yoda! The force-”

“Calls for the clones, it does,” Yoda cut her off, slicing seamlessly through the droids on Gree's right.

luke then casually talking about how that training really helped him that time he had to drag a moon out of orbit with his mind and yoda suddenly being like ‘you know what, let me get a notepad, describe exactly where I whacked you with my stick’

Listen. I need. 19 year old Obi-Wan. He’s got the flu or something. Something not transmittable to Yoda but still bad enough to keep him in-temple. But Qui-Gon is needed in the senate or even off-world (would have to be bad to pry him away from his kid rn and the only thing keeping him from tying Obi-Wan to a bed in the healing halls is that Che said no stress and Obi-Wan hates those damn halls and he just needs to be checked up on and sleep forever) and so he’s gotta find an Obi-Sitter to watch him.

First option was Mace, but Mace and Depa are BOTH off-world today! Bad! Second option was Cin Drallig actually, but he’s got like four classes to teach today. Evil. Third option was calling off the mission but then Yoda shows up out of nowhere and is all ‘watch the young one, I will’ and Qui-Gon is all ‘…I don’t have any choice, do I?’ ‘Not a little, even.’

So he shoves Yoda in their apartment to check up on the kid every hour and help him if he suddenly starts throwing up again, and Obi-Wan is just sitting there on the couch wrapped in three blankets and blinking sleepily while he watches Master tell Yoda all his medications and about Obi-swan’s favorite pillow and the book Qui-Gon reads him when he can’t sleep (Obi-Wan doesn’t wanna tell him he doesn’t find the book interesting at all, just likes listening to him talk) and which of the teas on the counter has been helping Obi-Wan’s various issues and-

So. As soon as the door to the apartment shuts (right on Qui-Gon’s overbearing helicopter dad face in the middle of a sentence) Yoda sits down next to Obi-Wan on the couch, makes himself comfortable for a moment and nods, like it’ll do. And turns to Obi-Wan. ‘An edible, would you like?’ ‘Is that wise while sick?’ ‘Wise? No. Will you care? Also no.’ ‘I like you Grandmaster. I will take the edible.’

To be fair, Obi-Wan was VERY relaxed till Master came back again.

And that’s why Qui-Gon picks a fight with Yoda the rest of their lives whenever he sees him.
