My God, what would the community think You are so beautiful, you are so beautiful
All the things that people do in winter They all melt down in the summer Things I never should say On a very hot day
Been crying out in my eyes
Vacation, vacation, vacation, vacation...
My God, what would the community think You are so beautiful, you are so beautiful
Cover of a Cat Power song, part of a digital EP called Working People (Part 1) available on Bandcamp. All proceeds from this EP will be donated to SWOP Behind Bars https://swopbehindbars.org/
A dark, roiling post-punk gem written during a time of personal turmoil, Colicky is the group's jagged, unflinching look at the disintegration of love and intimacy. The result is a tight and eclectic mini-LP that ranges from cerebrality and coolness to measured chaos. [Source/Buy]
I don’t get it But I’d love to get it
I have a hard time managing conflicts
Self Defense Family // Vacation Vinyl // 11.12.14 [Performing Rhys Chatham’s “Guitar Trio”]
I’ve listened to this like 8 times since Self Defense Family posted it last night. Mesmerizing.
This is gonna be playing on my screen several times while I'm working today too.
Sound of the day, I can't wait for the next Axis release.

As it was said, a full set from Warsaw. I put a shitty x-pro filter on it, so Patrick may feel comfortable with the latest HD video developments. Enjoy Self Defense.

Where are my goddamn lips?
I really love that new track from the last 3-track EP released by Self Defense Family. Between this one & Holy Trends, I'm really curious to find out how their new LP is gonna sound like. As long as it's not country music sung in esperanto or acoustic dubstep.
Finally a new song from Self Defense Family for the upcoming 4 way split co-released April 23 by Topshelf Records and Run For Cover Records (pre-order here, the pre-order on Topshelf seems sold-out). Seems like they really have mastered the art of making catchy repetitive songs that stuck in your head while moving further away from their punk/post-punk origins. (in a Lungfish kind of way). So yes I like it. Now I really want to hear their new LP.
A couple years ago(?) we were approached to be on a grind comp. All 10-second-long songs.
If you’re not challenging yourself, you may as well be Weezer, so we accepted the invitation. I don’t know what happened to the comp, but for some reason this song popped into my head today. Figured I’d share.
Your sandals walk the steps I've left Your mouth feeds from the guilt on my neck

I wanted to post something from Policy of Three or Don Martin 3 because today was "classic emo bands with a 3 in their name" day (in case you didn't know). But I couldn't find anything on Spotify & I'm being lazy so here you are. Although I'm not sure the band members would agree, this 2 songs recording from Self Defense Family totally sounds like old-school emo to me.
