- when levi found out the two of you were having a girl poor man almost fainted
- he didn’t grow up with a father as we know and his only male influence was kenny so he was terrified he wasn’t gonna be a good father or know what to do
- BUT HE IS SUCH A GOOD DAD!! like his fatherly instincts kicked in right away
- whenever your daughter wakes up during the night, Levi insists on being the one to get up, he says it’s because this is his favorite “daddy-daughter time”
- even before your daughter is at the age where she’s supposed to be talking Levi swears he heard her say “dada”
- “say dada for mommy! show mommy you can do it!”
- “I swear she said it, she’s got stage fright now.”
- when you finally hear her say dada while you’re feeding her you act as if you’re making levi sleep on the couch
- “how come you get to be her favorite!! she came out of me!!”
- Levi spends half of his time with his little girl’s hands wrapped around his fingers while he teaches her to walk. like this man is hunched over helping her with each step
- whenever Levi sees something that even mildly peaks your daughter’s interest it’s bought and in her hands before you have time to protest
- when she starts to get a little older she has a fondness for Jean. of course it’s nothing serious but she’s 8 and likes that he lets her braid his hair.
- “daddy is Jean coming?”
- you’ve never seen Levi’s mouth hang open so wide until she said that
- “Did you know about this?”
- and you’re like yea duh how did you not
- levi would die for his daughter, he’s the bug killer, the story teller, and the one who checks under her bed and in her closet twice before tucking her in just so she sleeps better.
- as she starts to get older there is no denying that she’s daddy’s little girl
- and Levi wouldn’t change it for the world

I have this idea of either meeting Levi for the first time at a bookstore or having a first date there. Walking around to different areas like romance, science fiction, true crime, etc. Talking about your likes and dislike, finding each others hands as you walk.
And my favorite part, asking Levi to pick a book from the children's section and sitting on the floor reading to him. And he is so invested in your voice he doesn't notice the few children that sit near him on the floor to hear the story too.
It's not until you say "the end" that he realizes because the kids parents come to get them.
Also, he buys the book you read from.

- You two would steal glances at each other, acknowledging the other person's presence, without actually talking. It's a game of gazes, where one of you would look at the other and instantly turn away when the other is watching.

"Is there any way that you could please get your boyfriend off our backs today?" Connie huffs, falling onto the bench next to Jean.
"Seriously, what's his deal?" Jean asks, wincing in pain.
"Guys I don't know what's going on. He's been ignoring me all day." You tell them, sitting down on the floor to help first Jean and then Connie take off their boots, getting thanks from both of them.
You feel bad, but Levi won't even look at you today.
"What did you do to him?" Armin comes to sit on the floor next to you, using you as a head rest. He hasn't had it quite as bad as Jean and Connie but he's still running on empty.
"Me? Nothing. We're fine, yesterday we made plans and when I went to his office this morning he'd left me a note calling it off." You give Armin your water bottle which he gladly accepts.
"Well, something happened." Connie insists.
Problem is, you don't know what.
You know things were fine the night before, so it must've been something today. It started when you couldn't find him and realized he'd left you hanging, which was very unlike him, so you thought maybe he'd just gotten busy early. Then when you did find him, not only did he literally walk away when he saw you, but he was wearing his eye patch, which was extremely rare and only happened if he was outside in the sun a lot, which he wasn't.
"Kirstein! Springer! Arlert!" Jean and Connie groan and start lacing their boots back up.
"So much for that." Connie almost cries.
"Hide me." Armin begs you.
"What the hell are you three doing?" Levi demands, coming to stand by the group.
You know you haven't done anything, and neither have they, so why is he being so harsh?
You stand and clear your throat. "Hey, Levi-" But the words won't come out when Levi whirls around to give you a hard stare that you don't think you've ever received. Not before you were together, and most certainly not now.
"Is there something you need?" He questions sternly.
You actually gulp and the boys are wide-eyed at hearing how cold he speaks to you.
"No." You shake your head and decide it won't help any to push him.
Armin gives you a sympathetic look and Jean pats your shoulder before they and Connie go off to whatever torture is in store for them.
Now you sit on the bench yourself, trying to figure out what's going on.

Later in the day you continue working on your own tasks and send good thoughts to the boys, hoping things have settled down.
"Hey." Mikasa is calling to you.
"Hi. What's up?" You haven't seen her since this morning.
"I talked to the guys and wanted to come find you." She heard about what was going on.
"Oh, everything okay?"
"Well, no, but it will be." Mikasa tells you.
"I don't understand. Have I done something?" You ask woefully.
Mikasa shakes her head. "No, you haven't. It's just, not a good day."
You're just as confused. Mikasa seems to know something you don't. You and Levi have known each other a few years, and though you've only been officially together a little while, you thought he was opening up to you. In fact, you know he has, but apparently there are things he still wouldn't talk to you about.
Mikasa sighs. It's not for her to say, really, but it seems Levi doesn't know how to tell you, and it isn't fair to you to think it's your fault.
"It's the anniversary, of his friends death." She explains about Isabel and Farlan and how he's never forgiven himself and has a difficult time every year on this day.
"You know Levi, he blames himself for a lot of things that are out of his control. Don't be too upset with him."
You do know that, and are thankful Mikasa has clued you in. You had only known a little about the situation before this.
"No, of course not." It pains you to know that Levi still tries to deal with this alone, after all this time, and you hope you can do something for him.
"Hey, don't tell the guys." They didn't need to know every detail about their Captain.
"I'll just tell them he's having a bad day, they'll understand." It wouldn't be the first time.
It's not long before you run into them, and even knowing why Levi has been acting this way, still feel bad when you see they're about to drop dead.
Mikasa takes care of them while you try to find Levi. He's not in his office or mess hall or anywhere you might normally find him, so if he's inside there's just one other place you can think of.
Knocking on his bedroom door you get no answer, but push it open anyway hoping he's here.
"Levi?" You frown while standing in the doorway. There he is, curled up in his bed, not even bothering to change clothes.
He shifts and sits up, barely turning your way.
You bite your lip. He's even still wearing the eye patch. You hate that he's feeling this bad.

There's nothing Levi hates more than just having to sit there while people are singing Happy Birthday to him. Like he's grateful for the sentiment, but he never knows what to do except stand there and wish for the earth to swallow him while.
It is kind of awkward, isn't it? LOL I've only recently embraced the fact that my friends are going to sing loud to try to embarrass me and I now conduct them through the song haha.
Levi however? Nooot happening. You're all going to do it, he knows it. His vet team, Miche, Hange, Erwin. His cadets, Sasha, Connie and Historia especially (maybe Annie and Mikasa won't be so loud) and you!
You're not trying to make it worse but everyone is going to do it anyway so you give his hand a squeeze and help him get through the moment. It's his day, he's going to enjoy it.
He's trying not to blush but it's not something he can control and he's looking to you for help so you purposely speed up the last bit and shut everyone down when they try to go into "How Old Are You Now?" and he mumbles a thanks as you send everyone away with some vanilla cake.
"Did you have a nice birthday?" You ask in the evening when it's just you and him again. He buries his face in your neck.
"Birthdays are exhausting." His muffled voice says, making you giggle.
"Well, everyone had a good time. I'm sorry if it's too much, but this is the one day they're allowed to get away with it." You know how much everyone cares about your generally grumpy sweetheart.
"I know. I appreciate it." He leans back and searches your eyes, sighing when you run your hands through his hair.
"It's still my birthday." He barely whispers.
"It is." You agree and softly hum Happy Birthday to him again.
Coming from you, he could listen to it all night. However you don't get past a second round before Levi is leaning back into you, pressing his lips on yours.
He's been waiting all day for this.

I don't think I've ever had a funnel cake?! I just read it's kind of like a pancake batter though? And I imagine you put toppings on it. I think I'd like that better then cotton candy. I do love my sugar but spun sugar is a little too much for me. Something I never thought I'd say!

Okay, okay, okay, but holiday destinations for the AOT team...
I think Levi would love my country the UK for the tea we have here, but also maybe China or Japan. I can see him doing a tea country run, but he'd stay in very nice hotels with you because he needs things to be clean.
Hange I could see loving Scotland in the UK or Greece because of the history in both places. They'd freak out about the place and want to have battles.
Mike would for Germany, Norway, Finland etc somewhere he can drink good beer and eat meat.
Erwin gives me history vibes, so Italy or Greece for the development history and he'd love the cool battle plans that the Greeks and Romans did. Mostly Cyprus because of the battles there.

I'm also not as good at these HC as some of the rest of you but here it goes!
Levi - I looked up countries that serve the best tea, those were all up there! Sri Lanka and some others I wouldn't have though of are up there too. There are tea tours you know!
Erwin - Italy sounds right. Rome maybe, to see The Colosseum, or The Pantheon.
Hange - Them in Scotland, I can imagine how excited everything would get them. I bet they'd ask people to say something else just to hear the accent. And once they hear about the Loch Ness? They have to find out!
Miche - Oktoberfest in Munich. He's having the time of his life! Is out and about for at least one entire week of the festivities!
Eren - I just think Brazil for some reason. The beaches and the yearly festival held in Ipanema sound right up his alley. Also, Soccer fan?
Mikasa - goes where Eren goes no, China perhaps? Maybe Beijing and The Summer Palace or walking the Great Wall, or Shanghai and shopping at Nanjing Road.
Armin - Like the blonde commander before him, I think he'd like Italy as well. Specifically Vatican City and seeing the Sistine Chapel. Or maybe Venice with all the waterways.
Jean - I'm sticking with France here. He'd probably try to learn more about cooking and expand his skills. Maybe goes to the film festival, flirts with the ladies, asks if he can paint there picture.
Sasha - The country/continent of Australia! Visits the Great Barrier Reef and goes surfing at Bondi Beach. Tastes kangaroo meat for the first time. (no one shoot the vegetarian plz!)
Connie - possibly tags along to Australia and uses the lingo all the time. Or, maybe South America? Uruguay I'm thinking. Again, soccer fan, beaches, trying asado, really enjoying the culture.
Historia - Braves Sweden in Winter. Sees the Northern Lights, sleeps in an ice hotel, is thriving in the cold! Ymir of course goes too!
