please. everybody go watch avenue 5. because i’m watching avenue 5 - and it’s SO EFFING FUNNY. hugh laurie is back! it’s a sci-fi black comedy! i’m not normally in favour of dusty old dudes hooking up with young beautiful powerful and competent women... but apparently all of those principles are jettisoned out the window when it’s hugh effing laurie as the crusty old white dude. i am SHIPPING IT. also there’s a guy who was clearly meant to be played by jack black, but they couldn’t afford him, so it’s an off brand jack black - awful. but david wallace & gabe are there, as is the ‘thrils for the pils’ guy from b99. it’s funny. come watch this with me.
