Is it okay to follow you here from AO3?
Absolutely! The more the merrier :-)
Would I know your username on Ao3?
can you all tell me and be haters for a bit
UB40’s Red Red Wine.
I know some folks feel self-conscious about leaving comments on fics -- "I'm shy, I don't know what to say." I got a good one for you: if you want to make a fic writer's day, just comment, "Looking forward to re-reading this." It worked on me ❤️
🫖: If you had a tea party with your blorbos you write the most, how would it go?
Ooooh that’s an interesting one.
So I mainly write for Bucky Barnes & Darcy Lewis, I’m guessing firstly it would be interesting as I don’t drink tea and I suspect neither of them would either.
I think Bucky would be side-eyeing me wondering exactly why I write for him so much, and I think Darcy would be all “Hell yeah, I’m the best one, why wouldn’t you write for me?”
🧊: How do you get over writer's block?
🕯: Do you have anything special to help you get into the Writing Mood?
🕸: Do you outline? How detailed?
🗻: What's your greatest strength in writing?
❤️🩹: What helps you when you lose confidence in your writing abilities?
🕰: Do you participate in writing sprints?
🗂: Do you make moodboards for your fics or blorbos?
🍂: What everyday things help inspire you?
🌰: What's something you are working to get better at?
💬: Do you reread comments?
☕️: What time of the day do you prefer to write?
📚: What are some of the favorite things you've learned while doing research?
🫖: If you had a tea party with your blorbos you write the most, how would it go?
🎃: Do you write for holiday (Halloween, Christmas, etc) events? If so, what's your favorite work from one of those events?
🎱: Have you ever had readers correctly guess a twist or reveal in the comments?
📝: Do you prefer planning on a computer or on paper?
❄️: Do you write multi-chapter fics, do you keep an update schedule?
🍷: Do you ever write while inebriated?
🩻: Has writing a fic ever led to you discovering something about yourself?
🎭: Do you write vent fics? If so, do you post them?
🔥: What's a piece of writing advice you consider bad advice?
🧋: What's your most popular fic?
🎵: Do you create playlists for your fics?
🧼: Do you ever go back to edit fics or chapters after they've already been posted?
👑: Say 3 things you like about one of your fics. (Asker can add a title of the fic they want the author to talk about.)
You again?
Imagine thinking that fandom isn’t a social event?
Steve dropping the shield at the end of Civil War gets me so much.
Because when Tony tells him, "That shield doesn't belong to you. You don't deserve it. My father made that shield," it's not really about the shield, is it? You don't deserve it. It's supposed to hit Steve where it hurts, it's supposed to make him stop.
And in a split second, if at all, Steve weights the shield on his arm - the symbol of Captain America, of the hero that he is - against the man on his shoulder - his best friend - and drops it. Fucking take it then.
He doesn't even turn around.
That shield represents so much to Steve and everyone around him and yet, it means nothing when compared to Bucky.
I feel like it’s the difference between Steve and Captain America.
Being Captain America allowed Steve to be the man he knew he always was, and to show that to the world - to have the world allow him to be that man.
Somewhere along the way, the world confused Steve Rogers with Captain America. The mythology grew up around him, partly because of the things he did but also those 70 years on ice allowed the world to make of him what they wanted - to create a Captain America to their specifications.
But Steve wasn’t that man - wasn’t that Captain America. And, eventually, the shield - that symbol - has become twisted and people at large think it means something that it never did. Not to Steve, anyway.
Bucky + stopping fights in alleys
Modern!Bucky thinking to himself - now where can I go to make new friends in this new world? Aha, I know-
Darcy’s back in What If… bitches! 🥰
WAIT WAIT ITS COMING BACK?!?! I saw am article ages ago that said it was canceled
I can’t speak for other countries, but I *assume* that it’s more or less the same in the UK as in the US at least, but the third (and final, sob) series drops Dec 22nd
Darcy’s back in What If… bitches! 🥰
We knew the Steve Rogers Captain America era was over after Endgame. Now, we have been waiting to see what the Sam Wilson era will bring us. From the looks of this trailer, a lot of potential war and betrayal. It looks intriguing, but it also shows off a little too much. Hopefully, there are a few more surprises left for the film to show us. It does look better than I have given it credit for in the past, so perhaps that is why they opted to show as much as they did. Only a few months longer until we shall see what this has to offer. Hopefully, it gives us some indications as to what we can expect next in terms of connectivity. The last few projects did very little to provide any sort of cohesion.
Dare I say, but it’s giving TWS political thriller vibes for me, and I’m here for it. Fingers crossed.
5 mins into Sweetpea and it’s very clear this has just lifted the names from the book series and made another run of the mill tv show.
in these troubled times, remember sam wilson. who when faced down by an enforcer of fascism, ready for aggressive physical assault - after listening to him deliver a monologue designed to intimidate about domination, superiority and pain, responded with a quick and resounding “man, shut the hell up”.
Little Eva (Chapter 14)
Following the events of Civil War, the Avengers are disbanded, scattered and in hiding - and not coping all that well. The rise of anti-superhuman feeling continues, and it's not only the Avengers who are feeling the effects. Steve Rogers and team are about to discover a whole other world, and with it comes what might be the biggest threat they've ever faced.
“Well, this is cosy,” he says, hands resting loosely on the rifle that hangs from his neck.
“Remind you of anything?” Peggy asks, looking across at him as they stand in front of the uninviting grey wall, the bunker door falling slightly ajar.
“Feels a lot like Azzano,” Dugan notes. “Out of the way, hidden in a forest, so lots of cover and hard to see from the air. Exactly the kind of place you’d look to hide your bodies.”
“Well, let’s hope we don’t find any,” Li says, with feeling.
Interested, but want to start from the beginning?
10/10 would watch
