so like does anyone have a good merlin eps google drive
as a massive The Eye of the Phoenix lover myself, i'd love to hear more about why it's your favourite episode :)
hi! i love this question!!!
i'lll try and go in somewhat of an order
- the opening scene is simply one of my favourite scenes
- big, big, BIG part of this being my favourite episode is simply the dynamics. i think the overall characterisation through the portrayal of different dynamics, as well as character arc themselves came off really well in this episode - merlin & arthur, gwen & merlin, morgana's storyline, her actions through the eyes of gwen and merlin and arthur, etc etc
- merlin and books. simple as that.
- courage. strength. magic.
- gwain. arthur. merlin.
- the fisher king!!!!! (most important point here, really). as far as one-off characters go the fisher king is my absolute favourite. his story, the overlap in his arc with merlins journey, everything about it. incredible.
- and i'll make this my last point, but i really appreciate when they execute comedy/tragedy in such a well balanced way and i think this episode is a great example of that!
what's up with the anon hate you get wtf 😭😭 like I cannot imagine having the free time to obsessively check your blog/have notifs on, only to hate on it. I hope the weirdos don't get to you! they're not worth your time
haha, i don't know why, though it's been happening since the very beginning. luckily i find it incredibly entertaining.
It's so nice to see you posting!!!
thank you!! miss you all dearly
the dashboard has been quite peaceful without you actually
enjoy it while you can babygirl
Hey! It’s so good to see you posting again! Do you think you’ll post more gifs? (No pressure btw!!)
hello!!! thank you! and i would love to, especially since i kind of just abandoned the whole thing without much of a warning. however the issue i have is time, not having enough of it that is, so as much as i'd love to i don't know if i can. but i do miss it dearly and i'll try my best to figure it out!
what’s your favorite merlin ep from each season?
i'm about to cop-out sooooo bad, but i struggle with picking favourites so please forgive
- season 1 struggling big time with this. s1 has SO many good episodes and because it's s1 i'm stupidly attached to all of them. so here are my top three episodes (and trust me, picking three was the best i could do, even this is giving me a headache) - the poisoned chalice - the labyrinth of gedref - le morte d'arthur
- season 2 again, so. many. good. episodes. though here i wanna choose two, especially because quite a lot of s2 was so heavy - the one and future queen - the sins of the father (very honourable mention - the fires of idirsholas)
- season 3 one episode for this season because i'm VERY biased (read as: this season has my personal favourite episode) - the eye of the phoenix
- season 4 let's switch it up a bit (because i'm having a difficult time). s4 has probably my favourite three episode run - the 3 opening episodes. darkest hour 1 & 2 might not be the best of the season, but something about those two has always gotten to me. so. - the darkest hour part 1 - the darkest hours part 2 - the wicked day - (very honourable mention yet again - the finale, the sword in the stone 1 & 2)
- season 5 very biased about pretty much all episodes of s5 and extremely biased in a two-way type of way out the finale. but her i've chosen the two eps that i really enjoy character wise, though each for different reasons. - the disir - a lesson in vengeance
these could change depending on the week, but currently....currently this is it.

Merlinktober day 25 (Technically 26): Painting
This took a whopping 14 hours to paint. I’m very happy with myself though.
(Even if my Ipad isn’t, it was dying from the amount of detail)
Lots of people talk about how chill Uther was with Arthur and Merlin’s casual relationship but I haven’t seen much about how he was conditioned by Gwen and Morgana to think that kinda thing was normal. Like Gwen and Morgana are the og friends over servant/master relationship and Uther just got used to it over the years. When Merlin and Arthur started acting up he was probably just relieved they finally found a servant Arthur liked.
there are a lot of sides of it, i think. you're right in the sense that morgana and gwen were always there and were always very close, but not only was their relationship often different, looking at how acted against how merlin and arthur did, but the relationships between morgana was always different than that of him and arthur. it somewhat comes down to conditioning versus the actual idea of uther treating morgana and arthur the same way, which often was not the case. but i do enjoy the "finally relieved arthur finally liked his servant" idea. i have a lot of opinions and thoughts about arthur and his personality, his characteristics, especially when it comes to young arthur. there's a lot of pain that can be attributed to his character, fear too. not only that, he was also portrayed as quite chaotic at the beginning (not that it changed much later on - he remained unhinged, it's the energy of it that changed). again, this is all based on how you perceive things and the inner relationships of the show, but arthur liked merlins honesty and his refusal to put up with arthur without hiding it - that's something everyone can agree on. and as much i don't necessarily think uther cared much about his sons egotistical tendencies and his lack of thought towards others, at the end of the day i do think he cared about arthurs wellbeing. merlin gave him room to be human, be a person. and uther might not outright agree that a miserable king makes a bad king, but the idea of it could've been there. besides, closer relationships equal more trust. as much as uther didn't exactly appreciate closeness between servants and their masters one thing he did recognise was loyalty. arthur needed trust and loyalty - trust and loyalty that he could build on and recognise as his and just simply have and know.
Sorry if this is a cursed ask but do u think Arthur shit his pants when he died
no, because he's stubborn like that
