I really want to learn how to do calligraphy. I’m hoping self-taught and a lot of practice will get me there. >.<
In the throes of finals week and I am... teaching myself how to write?
I’m not even sure this is passable calligraphy because it’s wildly inconsistent but I want to learn!!

I regret to say there might not be a text post today because I spent the better part of the night/early morning trying to draw. It's rather terrible, but I'm happy with my first try. :) And if for some reason you found this interesting, there's more where that came from; this is only part of a bigger project I'm working on. While that happens, we resume with our usual programming tomorrow. Have a wonderful day everyone! :D

Unless you mean “roon,” which according to the Collins dictionary is a Scottish term for a strip of cloth? But I’m sure she could eat one of those too. XD
Okay, I’ll be honest, I just really wanted to post those pictures.
I tried my hand at baking today because of how stressed I've been lately. There are deep holes because I couldn't tell if they were baked yet HAHA It was supposed to be Frozen, hence the blueness, but kid my cousins, with whom I'm baking insisted on making it blue like Sapphire. Bless their souls. Also I've successfully indoctrinated them into the fandom. XD We've got a while before it cools enough to decorate but idk let me know if you want to know how it turns out. Between this and the Jasper post, I'm pretty excited for this weekend.
So while we stressed ourselves out finding the deeper meaning behind Eyeball's being called Gemini...
Thanks to everyone who helped me out and let me talk to them earlier. I’m feeling a lot better now and want to start responding to asks again. Also I made this turtle. I know it’s not SU-related, but turtles help me de-stress. And whales. I love giant flying whales. That’s another story though. I’m really okay now :)

While I was doing the research for the two asks on Peridot’s EMR emitter, I came across this image of Pearl’s attacking the Holo-Peri in Friend Ship. Pearl really meant business because she went straight for the gem when she attacked. She thought she was attacking the real Peridot and still went for that shot. Pearl was planning to end her.
I don’t think this is whom Pearl really is. First off, knowing someone was back from Homeworld put Pearl into something akin to a panic attack in Warp Tour.

Because she can't deal with something like the war happening all over again. She’s a lot more scarred by the war than she lets on. Additionally, she’s so afraid of being replaced or becoming unimportant in the lives of those close to her.
In Friend Ship, she was overzealous trying to defeat Peridot. She was fresh off Garnet just beginning to notice her again and it made her pretty reckless the first time, causing Peridot to get away. It was technically Pearl’s alerting Peridot to their presence that called Peridot and gave her the girth to use her blast cannon.

When the chance presented itself for her to in her eyes “make everything right again,” she vision was clouded with all these conflicting feelings of hurt, disappointment, loss, anger, and fear. That’s a scary cocktail of emotions and that’s a clear example of what happens when she keeps everything inside. Usually it reaches a boiling point where she gets brash (e.g. Rose’s Scabbard) and had it not been a Holo-Peri, we would have lost out on a character worth exploring.
