I didn’t trust my flawed human eyes to verify what colour it was, because in my deepest heart I know yellow and blue make green
So I took a sample of the colour from the intersection and ran it through http://htmlcolorcodes.com which provides the hexadecimal HTML colour
And then ran that through https://html-color-codes.info/colors-from-image/ to view where the colour was on the spectrum.
The answer is pale green. I posit that the colour pushes towards white because we’re already starting from pale blue and pale yellow. Especially at the point in the triangle intersection, the Blue and Yellow are bright enough that my (again flawed) human eyes tell me it’s white.
So it may really be just a function of brightness, telling us which parts are brighter than the others. When the shot zooms out from the two Pearls, we see whiteness on the ground and some parts of the screen, and we’re meant to see those areas as where more than two colours intersect (sometimes even purple/pink with blue or yellow), meaning it’s brighter, or the light source itself. In the same way even the centre of a yellow light bulb looks white, and only as the distance from the centre increases does the yellowness become apparent.
