It’s been too long! And that’s on mod Kit. But I’m back and ready to GO! Now, the next Podfic Big Bang will not begin immediately. The plan is to establish a yearly schedule, and I also don’t like spanning years. So, we’re waiting for the new year! That gives you plenty of time to plan. But, since it’s been a long time, perhaps you have some questions.
Good morning, all! It's reveal day! The Podfic Big Bang is over, and it's time to revel in more podfic than you can handle!
Thank you, everyone, for joining us. This was my first Fest as a mod, and I got such a thrill as the AO3 posts came in! Big thanks also to my co-mod, AnnabelleLocked, who kept up with your check-ins and gave me the occasional nudge to post those check-ins.
If you haven't quite finished your podfic yet, don't worry; I'll leave the collection open until end of Tuesday, for those who needed just a little extra time. Goodness knows, I was late enough times on check-in posts, I should give you all some leeway on joining the collection!
And now...go queue up those podfics and get your playlists in order. Not only do you get to binge some great stories, but keep an eye on theAmplificathon Dreamwidthpage, for another little fest in April. One to not only get, but give, your appreciation to our wonderful podfic community!

On February 28th, the collection will close and all the works will be revealed! Thank you, everyone. Hearing that so many of you are almost done has been amazing. I have never moderated a fest before, and was deeply worried no one would participate. Seeing people excited and producing has given me a lot of confidence. Keep an eye out in podficcer spaces in March. I'll be hosting another fest, to show my appreciation to you, and for you all to show your appreciation to...well, everyone!

Welcome to Podfic Big Bang 2020-2021! Well...it’s been a year, hasn’t it? Sorry for starting things up so late, but with the...everything, and us new mods starting, it took a while to get going! But, Kitsune Heart and AnnabellaLocked are ready to go, and we’re looking forward to helping you all make some truly epic podfics!
What is the Podfic Big Bang?
The Podfic Big Bang encourages participants to make podfics of epic length; 10,000 words or more (more! MORE! MOAR!). Tiny podfics are nice, but sometimes you want something that is just going to suck you in for a day, a week, a month! The 2020-2021 Podfic Big Bang will run from today, September the 6th, until February 27th, 2021, with all fics being revealed on February 28th, 2021.

Along the way, we’ll have 4 check-ins. Each check-in and the final posting date are spaced 5 weeks apart, across the 25 week PBB season, so when you get to the next check-in, you’ll know you should be about 1/5th done.
Cover art
Along with check-in #3 (December 19th, 2020), we’ll be asking who wants cover art, as well as making posts around the podficcer spaces asking for art volunteers. You can also make your own cover art, collaborate with another participant to exchange cover art, or opt for no art at all.
Posting guidelines
An AO3 collection for Podfic Big Bang 2020-2021 will be opened on February 1st, 2020. This will be an open, unrevealed collection, until closing on February 27th, 2021. (If it’s still the 27th somewhere, you’re good!) On February 28th, the collection will be revealed with a BANG!

2019 Podfic Big Bang Chill Edition
Hey all! It is getting time to think about Podfic Big Bang again. And think your mods have done. I have some bad news and some good news. Bad news first, despite how flush with excitement and ideas we were during/after last year’s Podfic Big Bang round (not that we implemented most of them, and had some stumbles with those we did), Real Life has come down on both of your mods hard. We want to be transparent with you, to let you know why things are different this year. This Big Bang means a lot to both of us and we want everyone to have a good experience. We wouldn’t be able to fulfill that if we tried to follow the regular template. Neither of us felt good about letting Podfic Big Bang lie fallow for a year either. On a regular basis, she takes his shoulders in her hands and tries to shake sense into him, saying, "When will you do something about that best friend of yours?"
