you ever think about Cecil's "and I fell in love instantly" line as an act of protection over Carlos, knowing full well that the town is never so welcoming or kind to strangers. sure he liked him. sure he liked the idea of something new in a town that never changes. sure he may have even loved him.

but "and I fell in love instantly" not as a declaration of true love, but a declaration of "do not fucking touch this one" because everyone knows that if you are on Cecils shit list, you might as well be excommunicated from the town

do you ever think about it devours and city council acknowledging how annoying Carlos is to have around town explaining things and helping, but they can't do anything because of cecil.

ugh in the first episode when cecil says he can't leave the studio because then "who would be here to talk sweetly to all of you out there" always makes me feel feelings... did they know it was going to have such a huge impact on people's lives? it's literally been twelve years and people are still staying up until midnight for episode releases and drawing art and writing fanfiction and falling asleep to episodes only to be abruptly awoken by the weather. seriously, if night vale wasn't around, who would be there to talk sweetly to all of us out here?

ok but if i was an autistic amnesiac 12 year old with ptsd who had aged several years in two months and who was distrusted by a lot of the town and a guy on the radio was mildly obsessed with you and you find a knife and your guardian instantly sees you as a threat and you haven't had alone time at all since you got here so you run away and explore a little by yourself but everyone is telling the radio host where you are and what you're doing, so you go to the one place with one of the only people you recognize and you stare into your home and you can't get back because they won't let you and something is wrong with you. and the man you recognize you are angry at and you do not understand that anger. and you are twelve years old but you are not supposed to be. and you find the radio host and he narrates every single thing you say and do and you can tell he doesn't like you and he says to your face that he is scared of you and you cannot let go of the knife because if you do you will lose all the control you have gotten. and it is the first control over your own life you've had since you got here. and you remember your name and you remember fear and hatred and pain. and the radio host does not like you. and he will not comfort you. and he will not help you. and you are overwhelmed and uncomfortable and scared and he is not helping. and you are angry. and he won't stop narrating every single thing you say. and you say your name. and he is not happy. i would cut the mic cord too just saying.

The title being this title is so significant with him.

Like let's remember Kevin's show got cut off by him seeing cecil and saying "he is holding a cat"

It was like, the only physical description we had of cecil that was certain.

Theory: Little Kevin was sent to kill Big Kevin by The Smiling God, to replace him. Why? Because Big Kevin is becoming a disappointment. His focuses are elsewhere. Mainly, Charles. He has Charles, something that makes him happy that isn't The Smiling God. However, killing Charles would probe difficult, especially with the high possibility of Kevin growing depressed and going back on his faith if he were to be killed. So, the solution? Replace Kevin with a better one! One that is pure, not tainted by other loves, other happiness. Big Kevin must be replaced.
