What if the Master of Masters is Sora’s father?

…Yes. I know you’re running for the hills for this theory. And not too long ago, I also would have (because KH didn’t deal with family). And for the most part, I still don’t believe this (though something like this happening for KH, has a better chance of occurring now than it has in the past).

But for fun, come along with me, anyway:

Sora DOES have a dad–that BbS confirmed–whereas until then, one could have believed via KHI that he only had a Mom and his dad could have died before he turned fourteen or something (this could still be true, but shh).

Also, KH is actually doing some family stuff now: Eraqus is the “father” of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus (and it’s mentioned in the Journal and Ultimania how the three see each other as siblings). Ansem the Wise is the “father” of Ienzo, Sora sees Roxas as a brother (Kairi probably sees Naminé as a sister, too, and Xion also fits into all of this somewhere), and Vanitas saw himself and Ventus and Sora as brothers, it’s implied via the Frozen scenes that Sora sees Riku as a brother, Lauriam and Strelitzia are our first blood-related siblings in this series, and Eraqus is probably the descendent of Brain, etc. (And surely we might get more info on who, if anyone, the Dandelions are ancestors of?)

Furthermore, Nomura was recently doing Versus XIII/Final Fantasy XV, that was all ABOUT familial ties: So maybe Nomura just wants to do this kind of thing now (XV being taken from him could be a large reason as to why).

And maybe he’s finally ready to tackle, if Keyblade wielding can be somewhat hereditary…

And FF has done father and son enemies before, with Jecht and Tidus…

But I actually DON’T think the MoM and Sora will be at odds at FIRST. I think the Master actually helped ensure Sora would come to exist, and save the world (and if he’s his son, that could be a partial reason for it). And there’s the chance that Sora’s even the “hope” in the black box, so the Master could have saved him after he died in III.

More than anything, this could explain their similar personalities and mannerisms, why they both disappeared, etc.

Also… it’s probably nothing–and the official KH Twitter knowing the fandom’s inside joke about Sora’s mom and joining in on it themselves–but the official KH Twitter referenced Sora’s mom on Mother’s Day this year. And that’s the first time she’s been acknowledged EVER, I think, so it could be a hint that she might actually have a role next saga (like, what if she’s a wielder?)… Or maybe not…

And though I kind of strongly doubt this one, some have thought–and even myself sometimes–that since the last saga dealt with friendship, this new one might deal with family. And it DOES have a better chance of happening now, then it ever did before.

Khans and Dragons of Tarkir

I’ve been of the opinion that the time travel will focus mostly on Ugin.

His nexus shows that even his dead skeleton has an effect on time, through its extra turn manipulation. Additionally, it is mentioned that the reason the Khans won the war is because dragons went extinct because they weren’t naturally born, they “spawned” in elemental storms. This ties in to the fact that Ugin’s first appearance was on a Futuresight card, and the attached story has him traveling through a time rift on some unknown plane.

This might suggest that Dragons aren’t exactly native to Tarkir, that they “spawned” when traveling to the plane/through time, the storms simply accompanied them for dramatic effect; and that the presence of Ugin(his corpse?) is what is keeping them from spawning.

Ugin IS the time travel element.

If the Dragon are spawned, this could also mean that like with the Angel and Demon, The Dragon are Made out of Pure Red Mana.

That would also mean that Sphinx and Hydra are make of Pure Mana of Blue and Green respectfully.
