ok so imo this little morsel of canon chara characterization absolutely confirms that beyond being a show offy nerd they were some kind of neurodivergent, most likely autistic or some type of OCD, because pouring their drinks like that “regardless of how thirsty they were” was obviously comforting to them or made sense to them (and asriel just imitated them because he’s a dork)

Even if Chara isn’t a knife wielding psychopath.

I do love the idea that Chara would carry a knife as close to them, as a tool for them from garden work, cooking and self-defense.

It wouldn’t pass me that there would have there character in game and work of fiction to use a dagger or short bladed as there weapon.

I can also have them be Aichmophobia (phobia of sharp, pointed objects) and there carry one to be brave little kid. (I may make Psi Chara be Aichmophobia, like I have done with Eri from TWEwY.)
