intro post

Hi! My name is Tino, I'm 18 and I'm autistic. One of my main special interests is stuffed animals. This is dedicated to that!
Offering my services as a plushie sleuther!
If you'd like to submit a plushie to the plushie of the day series, feel free! You don't need to provide a link to the website it's from but it's appreciated!
I will be mainly reposting stuff but I'll try to gather up the courage to post about my own plushies too. I am a very anxious person, especially socially so please be patient. My asks are open to anyone who wants to talk.

I got her from Emberfallplush on Etsy!!! She was $125 so I had to save up for a while but it was definitely worth it!!!!!

I had a good experience with this artist and the plushie is high quality!!

I think it would be so cool if you had your alien plushies omg... Very unique and colorful fellas!!

LUNG MASS UPDATE 💪

The doctor said it's not cancer, just severe pneumonia! So the other 2 doctors were wrong.

I'm starting a 4th round of antibiotics.

These specific antibiotics are dangerous and have horrible side effects, including deadly ones ^-^ so I am really hoping the pills work and I don't get any of the bad side effects!!!

I also got to see some of the 2nd CT scan!!! The mass was this big white oval in my lung. It was super cool and I wish I got a photo

But basically all the coughing up blood, low oxygen levels etc is just from the pneumonia.

NO BIOPSY NEEDED ANYMORE!!!!! YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! I was so so scared bc I was told I needed one earlier..... But this guy said nope!

4 months of being sick.... Nothing helping... I'm so ready for these new pills to hopefully work!!!!!

WOO!! I'm so happy for you, that's really good news!! Pneumonia sucks majorly but I didn't know it could cause masses on scans like that. Hopefully the medicine works with no side effects, you deserve that. Make sure to keep an eye on any new feelings since the side effects can be so severe, something like a symptom journal might be good ! (tumblr won't let me comment for some reason)

His name is Hippo and I got him as my second ever plushie when I was a baby. 2002 or 2003 I think!

He's very well-loved, but I believe he might've been light pink or white when he was brand new.

Hippo is a very floppy hippo plush! His eyes and nostrils are hard plastic.

I have no idea what store he came from or anything.

I would love to know what his brand is so that I can try and find a photo of what he used to look like :)

Hello!

Despite my tries to find this for the past week, I cannot find this guy. It's really frustrating because I've come so close a few times. The biggest challenge is that it's pretty rare to find hippo plushies that have plastic nostrils.

I will link the ones that have kind of the same face, you might be able to edit the photo to get a good idea of what he looked like young. I have also found a post that is also someone looking for their stuffed animal. Theirs started out light blue but it might be good to occasionally check back on the post to see if someone added a link or anything. I used the phrases pink hippo plush 2000s, white hippo plush 2000s and blue hippo plush 2000s and found some that look similar if you want to take a look too. I'm sorry I couldn't find him, he looks so silly! Links under the cut.

Hello!

Don't worry about the brain fog, I also get it so I completely understand :)

Cuddle Critter is indeed a brand. When you look them up online, a website comes up for them. They seem to be in the business of selling unstuffed animals, although some of them look like knock offs of other popular brands. As such, I don't know if this is the same brand that sold your plushie.

As for Cuddle Critter (vintage edition), they don't have a lot of products out there for buy. Unfortunately, your specific plushie isn't one of them. Since this is a vintage item, this is to be expected. I would suggest occasionally doing a search for Cuddle Critter bear or an image search (you can do this with a Google search engine but there are websites for it too) to check if somebody is currently selling one. I'd recommend Ebay for the site. Having said that, I did find a plush that looks really similar. It is quite expensive tho. I'm sorry I couldn't find what you were looking for. I will also link the other Cuddle Critter plushies I have found. Links are below the cut.

Review/Opinion: This plushie is a perfect example of why its so hard to find childhood plushies. This plushie is, essentially, lost media. When you search its name, you get the Principe Hamtaro plush (on which the Principessa plushie is pictured and said to be sold separately) but not this girl. There are two pictures out there (three if you count the one on the back of the Principe Hamtaro box) found here and none up for sale, which is surprising since this is a popular series. However, she is adorable! Thank you so much for sharing!

Review/Opinion: Storm and Tiramisu are so cute!! Thank you for the submission. I already made a post on the Thor Leonberger so that is what is linked in the name! They both look adorable and are so big. They're currently sold out on the website but I'd recommend keeping an eye out for them!
