lucky for you, that’s what i like;

muse a and muse b used to date in high school—a pair of sweethearts who everybody thought were going to make it someday. but muse a was always trying to make it big in hollywood and despite muse b’s insistence that they shouldn’t push it too hard, especially since college was something they would have to bee looking into soon, muse a made every attempt to get their career off the ground and struck gold with an agent. though both muse a and muse b were ecstatic, it didn’t last long when muse a broke up with muse b, saying they didn’t want fame to be the reason they ended their relationship and they wanted to focus on making it big so they could provide for them one day. and so they ended their relationship on good terms, years passing as muse b watched muse a soar into fame on tv and occasionally talked to them, but losing contact after about one year, meanwhile struggling to keep up with college and a job and stay stable financially. until one day, when they’re leaving classes to head to their night job and find muse a waiting for them—ready to finally deliver on the promise they made when they parted ways: that they would take care of muse b. it’s all vacations, shopping, staying in hotels, and falling in love again for them.

some plots based off of kpop music videos—(linked!)

( I AM YOU, YOU ARE ME ) — in a world where soulmates are literally extensions of each other, every pair dresses the same, has some of the same likes and dislikes, while still maintaining their own personality. muse a has lived most of their life with no soulmate at all, and with all their friends meeting their other half, has resorted to working grave shifts at the convenience store where they meet muse b, who happens to dress exactly like them, but muse a thinks this is all a joke, they’ve known muse b for years and they’ve never dressed the same and they’ve barely even talked. little do they know muse b has purposely been changing and avoiding them because they don’t feel like muse a will accept them—but eventually stops trying to hide and tries to woo a reluctant muse a.

( I’M YOUNG ) — muse a and their band has made it big time back home, but muse a can’t forget their ex, who they’ve left behind with both of them bearing broken hearts in a different country after a beautiful relationship came to an ugly end. months later after partying, scandals and loneliness, muse a boards a plane back to muse b, who is stone cold when letting them into their apartment. after a one sided argument where muse b asks repeatedly why muse a came, the two end up kissing, but muse b quickly has to hide muse a when their new significant other comes over unexpectedly. trying to distract the other, muse b announces they’re pregnant, and muse a, not understanding, believes it, and sneaks out, again broken hearted—leaving muse b to chase them down in another country.

( GIVE LOVE ) — muse a has been crushing on muse b since pretty much forever, who’s older than them by a couple years and therefore, way out of their league. noticing they hang around muse c a lot probably crushing on them too, muse a devises a plan to steal muse b away and get together with them, but muse b doesn’t seem to see muse a as anything other than a younger sibling figure, and muse c is getting more and more suspicious of muse a, who is now a very annoying third wheel.

( THERE IS NO TOMORROW ) *modified slightly — muse a and muse b are two badasses, the two nobody messes with. dating for months now, the relationship tilts between fine and near ruins, muse a working as a street fighter and muse b working as a bartender. muse a is often gone all times of the night and comes back home in the morning covered in blood and bruises, causing muse b to worry and causing both of them to fight. eventually they break up and muse a starts sleeping around, but they get back together because muse b is concerned about them. one day a fight gets real bad and the police get involved, and muse a disappears off the face of the earth without a word to muse b, fearing for their safety.muse b, terrified, lives on wondering what happened to their partner, until one day while traveling, they wander into a street fight and see muse a, and all hell breaks loose.

( ERASE ) — muse a and muse b used to date, but went through a bitter breakup, since the relationship was filled with jealousy and coldness with brief moments of happiness, mostly because muse b doesn’t believe in love and thinks muse a could do better. though there’s still strong feelings on both sides, they lose contact and meet again a year later at a bar. muse a looks completely different and is dating the bartender, muse b is in yet another cold relationship that they doesn’t care about. after that encounter, they keep meeting again and again, and keep pushing each other away, until muse b puts their foot down and asks why they didn’t make it and why can’t they be together again.

( GONE ) *modified slightly — muse a is a budding pianist with a heart condition, studying under a teacher who’s home they go to everyday for lessons. one day they see muse b come in, and through some investigation, learns that muse b is blind. muse b, the child of the piano teacher, has been living as a secret all these years, as their father is very renowned and any knowledge of their existence would stir up news. however, they often listen to muse a’s piano playing, thinking its beautiful. after trying to play on their own one day, muse a stumbles in and helps, and a romance develops, one muse b’s father is not happy about. so instead they sneak around secretly, but one day they get caught and security drags muse a out, making them drop their medication, and muse b picks it up, not knowing what it is or of what muse a’s condition is. days later, muse a returns and passes out while playing, not having taken their medication for days, and is rushed to the hospital. though muse b’s father tries to discourage any communication, muse b threatens to expose their father’s secret about them. when muse b finally finds muse a at the hospital, they visit everyday until muse a wakes up, and promises never to leave them, even though the health diagnosis for muse a looks bleak, another secret they are hiding from muse b.

instead of prepping for finals i watched our family wedding which also makes for an awesome plot...so muse a and muse b met in college, muse a studying law and muse b studying medicine, and they fell in love. muse b decided that he wanted to help people, so he applied to doctor’s without borders and is being sent to southeast asia. unable to leave muse a behind, who’s quit law school and has been volunteering teaching immigrant kids for three months, they decide to travel home and get married. but...muse a has never mentioned muse b to her parents, nor do they know their ‘perfect daughter’ has dropped out of law school. on the other hand, muse b, raised by a single father still living the bachelor life, can’t seem to get his dad on board with him getting married since his father’s marriage ended up in tatters.to make matters worse, muse a and muse b’s father can’t seem to get along from the getgo, and when both families learn their kids are getting married....muse a’s family wants a traditional wedding based on their culture, and muse b’s father would like something that caters more to his family’s culture and muse a&b are so stressed trying to make everybody happy....with secrets looming and only three weeks to get married before the couple ships off, it might go down perfectly....or there might not be a wedding at all.

i just finished watching leap year and it had the cutest plot so! muse a is a busybody, precise and a huge perfectionist who wants everything for her life, she has a great job and a steady boyfriend—a big shot doctor—of four years, who she thinks is finally going to pop the question and put a ring on her finger before he jets off to dublin, ireland for a convention. but he doesn’t, and suddenly muse a believes in old superstitions, like the one that says women can propose only on feburary 29th, a leap year. so she jets off to dublin, only to have her flight landed hours away from where she needs to be because of a storm. she ends up in the case of muse b, a smart ass, sarcastic pub owner with a chip on his shoulder after his fiance ran away with his best friend. in danger of losing the pub he owns, he accepts muse a’s demanding offer to drive her to dublin for some money...and things don’t go right. the car ends up in a lake, they miss trains, buses, and bicker the whole way. but eventually they fall for each other...just in time to finally arrive in dublin where in a weird twist of fate, muse a’s boyfriend actually proposes! who is she gonna pick?

a cute twist !

  • because they end up missing their train, the train porter takes them in for the night because he and his wife have extra rooms. but only for married couples. so guess who’s suddenly married? and at dinner when everybody’s kissing their wives and the men are teasing muse b to kiss his ‘wife’  and he does it to shut everybody up...guess who ends up nearly making out at the table? and also guess who has to share a room and a bed that night? talk about awkward. but they bond cooking dinner together and muse b gets muse a to let down her hair a lil, and muse a kind of....likes it.

arranged (based on the show)— the modern world would like to think that the ways of arranged marriage are old and outdated, but some cultures and some families still do practice this in their communities. many generations grow up in families where the parents where arranged to be married, and so on. the time has come for a new couple to be arranged and it’s even tougher to now begin a life with a person you’re maybe not that familiar with, you may not even like or get along with, and have to adapt your life to whatever standards your culture or family has had in their ancestry for so long. and adapting to somebody else’s too. and when divorce is the most frowned upon thing....nobody really wants to give up on a marriage if if can be saved right? even if you hate each other a little? or a lot? the hard part comes in figuring out as a couple how you’ll adapt to each other and each other’s family and continue the rules that have been seemingly written in stone, or whether you’ll make your own rules.

married at first sight (based on the show!) — not everybody finds their true love, even though they so desperately want it. so a group of single people have gotten together and agreed to be coupled together by specialists. the thing is, they won’t find out who they’re going to be coupled with until their wedding day, when they will finally meet each other at the alter. it seems all great on the day of the wedding and first few days of the honeymoon, but they’re legally married now. that means they’ll have to move in together, somebody might have to give up a job, possibly moving into a different state, figuring out each other’s personalities and of course, dealing with each other’s in-laws. the first year of marriage is the hardest—and that’s the time frame to fall in love and truly develop a relationship. in one year, the couple will meet again with the specialists to determine if they want to continue the marriage, or get a divorce.

but a plot inspired by these photos like, muse a is a college football player living his dream playing for his family college, and muse b has finally managed to gain a coveted spot at a performance arts college for ballet. after muse a’s team loses game after game, their coach pulls a couple strings to get them to go old school and learn ballet to help them be more swift on the field, and muse b is apart of the group chosen at her school to help them. for the next month, muse a and muse b are partnered up, coaching muse a through the steps and the two growing closer and okay like muse a is super clumsy and always stepping on muse b’s feet and he’s like “sorry i’m so sorry” and she smiles through the pain and they do it again and again and then muse a has to learn better posture and how to move his feet and teaches muse b about football (which she doesn’t get) and she goes to his games and all this cute shit who doesn’t love cute fluffy tear your heart out fluffballs

so a plot based off relationship goals by vanessa white because i’m obsessed— muse a and muse b are both celebs in hollywood, but neither really has a good reputation. muse a is controversial for being sexy, from her songs to her videos, to the amount of people she’s dated while being in the spotlight. despite being slut shamed nearly everyday, she’s kept her head high and has been active in promoting for equality in the industry and society. muse b isn’t much better, branded a mysterious bad boy by the media for his party boy ways and habits of always being at some club with a different girl every night. nobody knows that every woman he’s ever slept with has been treated with respect and her privacy has always been protected, after all his parents taught him better. so when they happen to bump into each other at an event and start seeing each other, the media bursts into thinking they’re just another hollywood couple disaster bound to happen—cheating, lying, the works. BUT. it’s the opposite. muse a and muse b have one of the most open, honest and envied relationships around—because what the media doesn’t know is that they’re actually decent people despite the image they put off, so even though there’s pressure and they both fight, in the end both only have eyes for each other. and suddenly they’re relationship goals for about everybody.

paint me the color of love — muse a and muse b are artists in their own respective ways. muse a sees the body as a canvas, thus he has tattoos trailing up and down his arms and upper body. he spray paints on abandoned buildings, in subway stations—anywhere. his best friend is his notebook and a charcoal pencil. muse b is a painter, in love with colors and dragging her brush across canvases. her room is full of canvases with unfinished paintings, her jeans and clothes are splattered in colors, she has wonders in her eyes all the time. muse a and b meet by accident, but are drawn to each other’s artistic talents and fall in love. but love is not simple and they clash constantly. muse a sees life for the cold, harsh, reality it is, muse b would rather look on the brighter side of things. with such different views and different styles, they’re always falling apart and coming back together, and though they silently know the relationship is doomed to fail, they keep trying to stay together anyway.

plot inspired by the film blue valentine;; a choose your own adventure plot!

part a.   the main plot.

  • muse a and muse b both come from dysfunctional homes. muse a grew up in a house with both parents, but their marriage is too toxic for them to believe in love,,so she’s in a mediocre relationship, and in college. the only joy she gets is caring for her elderly grandmother. muse b grew up with their dad, their mother walking out on them at the tender age of 10. dropping out of high school altogether, muse b is a dreamer who always tries to see the happier side of things—what they lack in sensitivity to others at times, they make up with  charm and people skills. currently working at a moving company, muse b meets muse a as they’re moving things for a client into a nursing home, catching a glimpse of muse a, who’s helping their grandmother. so starts a whirlwind of romance—muse a is opening up from their usual bitter and rude disposition, muse b finds themselves actually believing they could get married and have a family, even though it’s not what they initially planned for themselves. muse a and muse b’s relationship is going rather well, muse a even introduced muse b to their family, who doesn’t think that badly of them. however, things come to screeching halt when muse a discovers they’re pregnant—with their ex’s baby. right before they had met muse b, muse a and their ex had unprotected sex and well—their current situation. their ex doesn’t know that they’re pregnant, and muse a has just broken both pieces of news to muse b, who doesn’t take it well. but in the end muse b decides that it would just be easier to marry muse a and take care of and love the child. however! four years later with a toddler and married, things aren’t looking so good and muse a and muse b are on the fast track to divorce.

part b. choose your own adventure! take the above base plot as play it out alone, or choose from the added twists below for more pain.

  • the movie blue valentine moves in two ways—the present and the past. the past being muse a and muse b’s romance, and the present being their current rocky and falling apart marriage. take two fc’s for each muse and each time period and play out both situations! the fluff of a budding flurry of a romance in their twenties, and the angst of a barely there spark in their early thirties struggling to hold onto their family. insert sobbing and evil laughter.
  • muse a and b have been married for about four years now—their baby is now a thriving and active toddler, adapting the same playful nature as muse b. however, things are rocky for the couple—muse a is working a full time job, muse b is working painting houses, they’re managing to make ends meet but the romance from their early twenties is gone. one weekend muse b forces muse a to take off so they can get away, and while picking up alcohol, muse a runs into muse c, their ex and also the father of their child. muse c now wants to be apart of their kid’s life, and while muse a is okay with that, muse b isn’t.
  • four years later with one child, muse b is now frustrated by the fact that the marriage they didn’t even think they would have is falling apart—and part of that is because they want a child of their own. so they try and persuade muse a to have a kid with them, but muse a isn’t having it.
  • unable to patch up their failing marriage, muse a and muse b decide to get divorce, much to muse b’s disdain. muse a has full custody of their child and muse b opted for regular visitation rights. but in their separation, muse b starts to get their life together again, and once more, a romance slowly starts to bud between the two adults. but it’s much more painful—old wounds, a child, and will they be able to move past and not repeat what lead to their marriage falling apart the first time?

i know you don’t care too much, but i still care.

{ a } and { b } have had a rough relationship. what started out as an inseparable romance turned sour after eight months, but neither are willing to let go of each other. { a }’s destructive habits are partially to blame, getting drunk til they pass out in random places and { b } is called to see them at the hospital. { a } is ruining their health, and constantly belittling { b }, who refuses to give up on the person they once knew. until one day { b } ends up in the hospital diagnosed with an illness, and their family, who have long been telling { b } to leave { a }, take the opportunity to end the relationship for them, moving { b } back home and cutting all ties with { a }. for three months, { a } frantically searches for { b }, realizing that the only person who cared about them even though they treated them like shit is gone, while { b } is told by their family that { a } didn’t care about them and didn’t even come to see them when they were hospitalized. so when { a } finally tracks down { b }, they’re ready and willing to fight { b }’s family for keeping them apart, ready to be the partner they were to { b }, ready to give up everything they have to get { b } back in their life. however, { b } doesn’t seem to care anymore at all.

idk but listen the literal ANGST this turns into hurt my very soul—imagine a fighting with b’s family when they finally find their house and they get so loud that b comes downstairs and a nearly cries because b looks so weak and sad and they blame themselves for this because if they hadn’t been a dick then maybe a wouldn’t be sick AND THEN B DOESN’T EVEN SEEM TO CARE THAT A IS LOOKING FOR THEM and imagine them having to rebuild their relationship all over again and the yelling and the i’m sorry’s and fuck man fuck fuck FUCK this is sad i love it

plots based off songs from melanie martinez’s debut album crybaby  (part two)  ;; find part one here.

001. cry baby —  they call me cry baby, cry baby, but i don't fucking care,

  • { a } has always had an issue keeping a relationship—they feel things almost too much. they wear their heart on their sleeve and more often than not it comes back to bite them in the ass at the worst possible moment. after their last relationship ends in a tornado of a mess that their partner blames { a }’s constant over emotional state for, { a }’s heart turns to stone and eventually they become emotionless, using people for mere hookups and refusing to get attached again. until they come across { b }, who is just was emotional as { a } was. something about them irritates { a }, only seeing their past self when they look at them. but eventually { a } comes to love { b } to stop { b } from becoming like them, and slowly { a } begins to return to the person they used to be and realizes that maybe being over emotional isn’t such a bad thing anymore.

002. play date —  if i share my toys, will you let me stay? don't want to leave this play date with you,

  • { a } isn’t the most likable person around, actually most people they meet don’t really really like them due to the fact that they’re finicky and awfully stubborn. they’ve dated here and there, but relationships are short lived and they don’t really believe in love. one night at a party and out of sheer boredom, they strike up conversation with { b } and they end up sleeping together. things that night go so well that the two decide to strike up a friends with benefits relationship, but eventually things start to change. neither of them are leaving right after the sex is over, instead cuddling and sharing long stories and other intimate thoughts. { a } against their own will is starting to fall for { b }, who in all honesty seems like a good person. as time goes on { a } builds up the courage to ask { b } if they could start a real relationship—only one day to see that { b } is already in a relationship and though they like { a }, they don’t think { a } is really somebody they can see themselves in a relationship with. so { a } starts dating { b }’s best friend to prove that they can be in a happy relationship as well as to make { b } jealous—and to prove to themselves that they are indeed somebody who can be loved and not just fucked.

003. teddy bear  you were comforting and quiet how did love become so violent,

  • { a } had been in a relationship for a long time—the best friends turned lovers story that everybody knows so well. but as things happen when people grow up, a person can change and that can change a relationship. { a } is no longer happy in the relationship with their best friend and breaks up with them as nicely as they can. however, while their partner takes it well in front of them, when they leave the ex starts to spread all types of nasty rumors and stories about { a } including the intimate thoughts { a } had ever divulged to them before they began dating. it isn’t long before { a }’s reputation is ruined and nobody wants to talk to them anymore, even their friends have taken their ex’s side. eventually { a } becomes a loner and is falling into deep depression being alone all the time. until { b } comes in. { b }, who had always been a loner and quiet themselves by mere choice, finds { a } having a crying fit alone and comes to { a }’s aid, calming them down and taking them to { b }’s home to care for them. eventually { b } becomes { a }’s only friend and their relationship starts to turn for the romantic, but { a } is so broken and guarded because of their ex they refuse and { b } has to try and put { a } back together again through a gentle and quiet love.

004. tag you’re it  can anybody hear me? am i talking to myself,

  • { a }’s life isn’t great by any means. it seems like every time their life starts to take a turn for the good, they’re pushed back into the dirt and have to pick themselves back up and try and make things better. their parents have such a hard time taking care of them that eventually they’re shipped off to a foster home where things don’t go much better with any of their foster families. every new school, every new relationship ends up in shambles, and every time they think their parents will finally get their shit together and get them out of there, it never happens. at their last home, they meet { b } at school, who isn’t that happy with their home either, due to having pressure constantly put on them to be the best and leading to { b } having a breakdown and just barely maintaining their sanity enough to get through school. but they become each other’s saviors—becoming closer than friends even though everybody around them disapproves—{ a }’s foster family has never gotten along with { b } or their family, and { b }’s family doesn’t think { a } is good enough for { b }. with just weeks bearing down to graduation for both of them right around the corner, and with { b } already having a car and driver’s license, the two decide to take an roadtrip for their spring break to be somebody other than who they’re forced to be for while—to maybe escape the push of life and all its dirty tricks for a while. but will it work? will they find the freedom they’re looking for? will they develop the love everybody says they can’t have? or will they both be pushed into the dirt this time?

005. sippy cup —kids are still depressed when you dress them up, syrup is still syrup in a sippy cup,

  • { a } is on a fast track to destroying themselves, though they manage to hide it. the golden child of their family, held in highest esteem, looks like the perfect child inside and out to their family, friends, and school mates, but things are much different late at night when they sneak out of their home. nights are filled with mindless drinking, too many drugs, and too much unsafe sex with partners they don’t know and never will know, just to numb the pain they feel from being pressured to be perfect. until one day when they have a health scare (pregnancy/std) and are sitting petrified in the waiting room of a clinic miles away from where they live. { b } is volunteering at the clinic for community hours for a school project and recognizes { a } looking nearly scared to death, hands shaking as they fill out the form and carefully offers a hand in filling out the form—trying to hide the shock they feel that the school’s perfect kid is nearly crying from fear. when { a } is too scared to go home after the tests are performed, { b } takes it upon them self to take care of { a } for a couple days seeing as their parents are out of town. { a } is grateful for the help, but after they return to their own home, the destructive behavior doesn’t stop. until while in the middle of drunken sex in a random person’s house, { b } storms in and drags { a } out of there, screaming about how they’re destroying their life and how they’ll let everybody know unless { a } agrees to clean up their act. { a } is in shock—they hardly know { b }, yet this person is showing more concern over them than their own parents. and they don’t know how to quite handle that other than fighting it—which { b } isn’t having. { b } refuses to let { a } ruin their life, but why?

plots based off songs from melanie martinez’s debut album crybaby;;

001. alphabet boy — fuck all your abc's, alphabet boy,

  • { a } & { b }  have always been at odds—both being the smartest kids in their grades but having completely different opportunities. { a  } was born into a poor family and therefore family takes priority over grades and they fall behind constantly. { b } was born into wealth, affording all the tutors and generally having it easy and picking on  { a } who they usually have to tutor so they can catch up. eventually { a } drops out of school to work for their family and { b } graduates top of their class. but a year later they both run into each other and things are different— { a } is still working but earned a ged and is now moving into a new apartment, and { b } is struggling after being cut off financially and now with no place to stay—not to mention they’re knee deep in college debt now. { b } is now in desperate need of { a }’s help, but will they help them after so many years of teasing?

002.  soap —  i feel it coming up my throat guess I better wash my mouth out with soap,

  • { a } & { b } were once really great friends who told each other everything, who could call one another at one in the morning and know the other person would pick up. however, { a } felt something more for { b } and as easily as they could, confessed to them. { a } now feeling smothered and pressured, said they didn’t feel the same way and { b }, hurt, cut off all communications with them. years later at a party, { a } sees { b } drunk and ignoring them at all costs. when { b } drunkenly stumbles outside,  { a } corners them and demands to know why they’ve been avoiding them for long, generally getting more and more upset until   { b } drunkenly yells that they’re still in love with them and never got over a broken heart before passing out. { a } takes { b } home with them, and the next morning { b } wakes up in { a }’s apartment, hungover but with the blaring memory of what happened the night before. they try to escape, but { a } won’t let them leave their life again. because just maybe....in the years when { b } ignored them, { a } realized they were actually in love with { b }. but seeing how { b } completely hates them now, doesn’t know how to say it.

003. training wheels —  fully undressed no training wheels left for you,

  • before they were even a couple, { a } and { b } were always known as the shy kids, so when they got together, nobody could resist admiring how cute they were as a couple. from blushing every time they looked at each other, to the gentle way they touched each other, even how they always teased and poked fun at each other when they never did it with anybody else. they’ve always been on the surface of a relationship, but { a } is ready to take it further—they feel that they’ve been ready to go father, but { b }, who suffers from low self esteem after a previous bad relationship, has always been the reason they’ve held back. when they decide to take a small roadtrip together, { a } hopes to use this time to get closer to { b }, emotionally and physically. they’re staying in old hotels and sharing beds, stealing each other’s clothes and all both of them really want is to be with each other, no matter what happens.

004. pacify her —  you don’t love her stop lying with those words,

  • { a } and { b } have been friends for a while, and there’s always been something more bubbling under the surface, but neither have ever acted on it until both got drunk at a party and admitted it and then slept together. after that day things have always been a bit strange between them, but they kept their stance as friends. but when { b } starts dating another person who { a } personally can’t stand, things turn sour between them. and when their partner lets out their ugly side and lashes out at { a } and { b } does nothing to defend them, { a } decides they want nothing to do with either of them. until { b } shows up crying at their door.

005. mrs. potato head — oh mrs. potato head tell me, is it true that pain is beauty,

  • { a } is born into family where looks are everything—their mother is a beauty queen, so are their sisters. their father is deemed attractive, voted the most handsome in high school and still now is complimented for his good looks. { a } from a young age is forced to believe without good looks you’ll have nothing, and has been groomed from a young age, participating in beauty pageants where they always take first place. nobody looks at the person { a } truly is, and they themselves are forced to hide away the truer parts of them that would rather curl up in sweats and write stories, something they’ve been doing forever to handle the pressure. along comes { b } a journalism student, who comes across one of the stories { a } leaves behind after a gala and is impressed; always having the idea that { a } and the rest of their family were rather stuck up and annoying. the next time they run into each other, { b } returns the story along with a book they’ve always enjoyed. as time goes on, the two develop a cute relationship, leaving notes for each other in books, sneaking around and { a } sneaking out from galas and parties just to be with { b }. { b } is seeing { a } for who they are, not because of their face, and that in itself makes { a } want them all the more.

muse a and muse b have been friends for a couple of years—met by accident when muse a spilled their own coffee on the other on a rainy day. sparks flew and they dated for quite a while before muse b broke things off, but both still maintaining a strong friendship regardless of the fact that muse a’s heart was broken and still longed for muse b. muse b reenters the dating scene and muse a’s apartment quickly becomes the place to meet up and discuss one of many dating failures and life events. eventually muse b does find somebody they like for the long haul but muse a watches their friend become a shell of who they used to be, clearly being changed by their new partner. when said partner bursts into muse a’s apartment, furious by muse a&b’s friendship, muse a—fed up and frustrated by how this person has changed the person they fell in love with—stands up for them self, letting their true feelings be known—that they’ve never stopped loving muse b, that they will never know muse b the way muse a knows them, how they’ve spent every day for months pining for a love that is no longer. muse b is caught off guard, but defends their partner and shuts muse a down, and their friendship falls apart that very day.

months later, muse b is single and miserable and has spent all of their time looking for muse a, who cut off all communication after the argument and even moved. when they finally find muse a again, they want them back—in a relationship like they had so long ago. but it’s clear they’re going to have to make muse a fall in love with them all over again—and they have to fall in love with muse a all over again too.

let's not fall in love ;; muse a and muse b have been off and on flirting for as long as anybody can remember, but nobody's ever made the move to say 'let's date, i like you' yet and muse a is increasingly frustrated by muse b's shrugging off when asked if they have any romantic feelings for muse a. truth is, muse b has been head over heels for muse a since the day they met—but is plagued by the feeling of not being good enough, terrified of breaking muse a's heart and ruining the only good thing in their life at the moment. it's easier to remain friends they think—until muse a gets tired of waiting and moves on, breaking muse b's heart. it'a time for muse b to make a decision: will they fight for the person they truly love, or push them away to save the both of them from hurt?

{ A } is a famous musician who’s let fame get to their head. Long ago, they wrote all their own music, was super in touch with their fans, and had the most promising career of all. But when they rose to stardom almost instantly, the limelight got to their head and they’ve quit writing their own music, are known to be kind of rude to their fans, and while they’re practically an A lister, everybody knows they’ve lost themselves. { B } is a broke college drop out working two jobs and playing for free at a local bar three times a week, but has a passion for music nobody can deny. They write their own music, play three different instruments, and have tried and failed too many times to get into the music industry. One day while out with friends, { A } saunters into the bar where { B } is playing and is surprised by how raw but real { B }’s music is—reminding them a lot of themselves a couple years ago. { A } tries to come onto { B } with promises of making them famous, but { B } gives them the cold shoulder right off the bat but is surprised when { A } shows up to every one of their gigs persistently for two weeks. { A } wants them in every way because they believe maybe they can return to being themselves and thinks they’ve finally found somebody who could see past their new personality and see the person that they want to be again, but { B } could care less. So { A } gets them a job producing their next album, an offer they know { B } can’t refuse, and the only way { A } knows to get close to them to show that they really do want to change. But will it work?
