A unicorn pumpkin with serious staying power (it's a plastic one, so no rot here) by Michelle at Crafty Morning. I don't normally care for this style, but this unicorn is so sweet I can't help it. (And yikes—how did it get to be just about four weeks till Halloween? Already!?!?)
Apples or small gourds make cute tea light holders. Don't know how do you cut these pumpkins so neatly, though, knowing a little of how hard pumpkin skins can be... Attributed to Rainbow Delicious, found via Happy Happy Nester.
An older idea, but still eye-catching: paint your decorative pumpkins in different shades of the same color for a striking ombre display. (Mmmm, blue, my favorite...) Photo by Michael's, found via Michael's Stores on Pinterest.
When painting your pumpkins, there are so many options. This red and black Poke ball one by Allison Waken at All for the Boys is really neat.
Brilliantly creepy Halloween food: serving the not faint of heart with a severed prosciutto-covered hand molded out of soft cheese. Wow! Not sure I'd make it, it looks realistic enough to give me the icks, but it's really, really impressive! By Chelsey at The Paper Mama.
When you want to feel festive but to not overdress: a DIY jack-o'-lantern sweater by Heidi Gustad at Hands Occupied.
Is that the bride of Frankenstein? Halloween-ized mason jars by Sam at Color Made Happy.
For star-gazing Halloween fans: a faux pumpkin with constellations. By Lindsay at Shrimp Salad Circus. No lights in this one, but it's a neat project anyway.
A wine cork wreath in fall colors. I'm not big on wine cork projects in general, but this I find clever. Project by Haeley at Design Improvised.
Wow! Such a seriously amazing Halloween cake, with icing in the colors of an evening sky and the sunset. By Amanda Colligan; more photos and how-to at Wrap Champion.
Autumnal trees have never looked so wibbly-wobbly! Tardis iPad case by Arief Rahman Hakeem; from Redbubble.
