I feel like I'm just puttering along at this, but if I keep going eventually I'll finish.
I was just trying to film a timelapse of me animating (yesterday's time lapse was actually a sped up video), and today I was trying to make a timelapse from my phone while animating from my tablet so that I can make timelapse of me animating, but I didn’t think of a bunch of challenges before starting the timrlapse like that this camera isn’t zoomed in like the animation. It’s also hard to set up the two cameras so they aren't in each other’s way. But it was an experiment. Now it’s back to work on this animation.
Here's a time-lapse of today's work recreating the Sonic Movie 3 Trailer with pipe cleaners. Sorry it's not much, and I made a lot of mistakes and want to remake this, but it also took so long to make.
This post might be a little late today, but hey, here's the first part of the Sonic Movie 3 Trailer remade with Pipe Cleaners which are yarn with wires in it.
Space Coleny ARK
I'm gonna be posting little pieces one at a time of remaking the Sonic Movie 3 railer with pipe clenars. I already posted one of them a few days ago, and I guess technically another one where Shadow slides with his motorcycle, even before that.
I was pleasantly surprised that you guys liked the part of it I posted yesterday. I was worried it wasn't good enough becasue it wasn't perfect because I hadn't done some of those things before. Anyway, the speed at which I'm making this big project isn't fast enough. So I've been thinking of ways to make certian effects more quickly.. I have a lot of new ideas to help make effects and other tricky things faster and hopefully even better looking. One which I've tried before with yarn fluff is smoke, steam, spraying water, or even fire. So I did some tests with a fluffy pipe cleaner to see how it worked, and since that wasn't very interesting on its own. I decided to add it to Shadow's motorcycle. I hope this will be useful for making future projects.
Sorry I don't have a new animation yet, but I'm hard at work planning my next, big project, and getting all ready to make it.
They're ready for a big animation featurong all of them. But I'm mot sure I'm ready.
I was trying again to see if I could film a timlapse of making a critter. I think that I've figured it out though it's a little uncomfortable and will take some getting used to doing. But it's not as uncomfortable as the new ways I've been trying to figure out how to make my critters which feel so unatural to me and though I thought they would make things faster, they make them slower. I'm going to use a fun background like the character's home next time, but this was jsut a test to see if this would even work. I want to get more story animations for you guys, but filming when I make my critters will help me be less stressed out over needing to make a video every day. I think that might have been why I was scared of making new critters because I would need more time to make my video for that day. Anyway, I hope you'll also like these. I'll try to make them fun with the backgrounds.
Sorry guys. I was overwhelmed by thinking of what you all might be expecting of me since I said I could move my critters without animating them, and then I was trying to make them and it wasn't working out. Sorry I let myself get so anxious. And I know you guys are really nice and like even the littlest things that I make, I just have high expectations for myself, and really, I didn't do anything today.
Anyeay, here's the second part of the big fight scene I posted a few days ago. I was thinking the first part was tough to show what was happening, so I needed to show more impact between hits and also esculation of confiict, so I made this one. I hope to be able to make more action scenes because they are fun. I hope it's ok beasue usually I just make cute scenes, but I thought I'd try out some action as well if that's ok.

I was just taking some inspiration from Yoshi's Wooly World for this.
