purest sign to me that you are an idiot is when people are like "oh the catholic church is an evil cult" like yes the catholic church is a failed and corrupt institution that has done untold horrors to this world but unfortunately it like the bottom of the list of christian denominations that could possibly be a cult. do you know how many people are like passively and meaninglessly cradle catholic? it is nearly identical to being like raised like vaguely jewish or whatever. anytime I hear people be like "yes. the most evil religion of them all: catholicism" I want to let you know you sound like a turn of the century boston brahmin not wanting to let irish people immigrate here bc of their wicked popery.
