Finally made some time over the weekend to watch Cherry Magic TH and I am still dying at the fact that Achi found out about his neck mole by way of Karan's horny thoughts
Now I wasn't expecting such a close adaptation of og LITA throughout, but I do think the little changes they've made (e.g. Arashi being less aggressive and Rei being more physically receptive in during the bed scene, Arashi talking to Rei at the garage instead of over the phone etc.) will set them apart as the series continues.
That aside, I'm really loving the retro vibes of the sets, props, and color grading. They lend to that underlying melancholy feeling that is signature to Japanese dramas.
i feel like rosé will surprise us and end up being quite nice. she's giving very much lonely and in need of true companionship, which leads me to think she'll respect jack's feelings and become an ally for him and the boys.
are you okay or are you also thinking about the way great stayed and protected his mom is probably the way he wished she would've stayed and protected him? that for once she would've chosen him instead of herself and her greed?
the fact that it's also raining where i am rn is not helping 🥲
dr. pee getting closure and walking away all content while god and diew's relationship is in shambles does not sit right with me i need him to continue suffering ESPECIALLY for adding fuel to their misunderstanding
if my partner's response to me telling them that i experience severe bouts of depression is to send me a link to a new mobile game i would never share my feelings with anyone ever again
Sammon I love you but what do you mean both of them are alive?
I can't gif right now so please accept this screenshot as I call your attention to the fact that the boat looks like a clock hand the overhead camera roll makes it look like it's rotating clockwise
Hey girl, I'm on the clock and I only have 4 minutes so listen closely. Everyone is dead and God is a woman. I'll explain later.
My boss just told me that he's taking the afternoon off which means I can watch the finale as soon as it airs. Who said Friday the 13th is an unlucky day? Things are looking pretty good if you ask me.
I need everyone to get on their Zoom right now because of course Tonkla feels like a more fleshed out character. His entire story takes place in reality. We were never presented with an idealized version of him crafted in the minds of persons burdened with immense grief and regret toeing the line between life in death. His motivations have been laid out before us and do not require any further contemplation. Great and Tyme's story, on other hand, requires us to read between lines—every single one of them.
The actor playing young Great is the same actor who played young San in Century of Love. Baby boy has been in his bag this summer and rightfully so!
Happily ever after in 4-minute limbo it is :')
So is the happy ending going to be that they both end up in a coma or dead and live happily ever after in limbo? Because I do not see any other way atm unless they both miraculously survive the gunshot wounds. But we don't know if Tyme actually gets shot in the OG timeline so maybe not?
But wait... What if Tyme has second thoughts about the way he ended things with Great (holding his hand and leaving him all sad and lonely in the middle of the street) and goes to his apartment to talk things out? It's more plausible that since we're in the OG timeline, Tyme would want to use Great for something else but I choose to believe in love lol anyway he finds Great in the elevator and saves him? But Great ends up in a coma? And Tyme can't seem to and/or doesn't know when to let go, as pointed out by our beloved Dr. Den earlier in the show.
Ahhhhhh I don't know what to think anymore so I really need some answers today ;;
This is one of the shots that prompted my post in the first place. The expanse of the water and their coordinating half-white, half-black outfits (very yin-yang of them, much like the cat plushies) lend to the idea that they are indeed floating in limbo.
And after re-watching the trailer, it also looks like we might revisit their shared limbo again. Could we be getting Tyme's 4-minute phenomenon? Maybe (if so, it answers my question of whether or not he got shot) because we've seen both these places before, but things are different.
The first shot is the glamping site where Great enjoyed Tyme's guitar serenade while comfortably swinging on the hammock.
The second shot is of the balcony at Great's university where he rushed after Tyme after receiving the Thai tea. The tea is still in Great's hand so it looks like they had their conversation here instead of outside on the bleachers?
Also in one of the trailers, they made it a point to focus on this (rotting?) apple which is the same one Great bit into while they were siting at the glamping site picnic table.
At this point, I don't know what's going on or what anything means but I'm thoroughly enjoying the ride :')

I know we only saw Tonkla for 0.5 seconds but that moment was all I needed for everything to slot into place. Now the question is do I have the mental energy to write it all out?
