this is where we live - oh how i fell for you california.
said goodbye to very good friends today who already go back to germany this week. we spent the better part of our three expat-years with them. together we went on an adventurous RV-canyon tour, hiked this hike here on mount diablo, witnessed them becoming a familly... so much more, so many memories.
two more months to go for us. oh the feels....

we just came back from a roadtrip to find this. (pictures taken last night and this morning (9/9/2013) from our deck).
mount diablo is burning! i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the fire smoldering in the distance last night. i hope everyone is okay over there (i read they already evacuated over 100 homes) and the firefighters get the fire under control soon!
