I went in and read once and got the part. I always say if I had been testing for the part that I ended up doing, I wouldn’t have gotten it. They wouldn’t have let me do it. To play the girl on a big tv show… I wouldn’t have gotten the part. I was totally unknown, number one. Number two, they would have thought, like, “Oh, let’s get someone cuter!” I’m telling you, it’s stupid. They’re stupid. It’s a bad system. It got to be such a great part. If people had known it was such a great part, they would have offered it out to people. Other people would have taken it. But it was just… it was mine. It was meant to be. - Janel Moloney
