Hey, lovelies! We're more than halfway through October and I've seen a few posts and comments from disheartened creators regarding engagement and interaction. As a fellow creator, it breaks my heart. Writers, artists, gif makers, graphic designers, and more treat us all year round with goodies. So why don't we give some treats back?

Throughout the rest of October (and hopefully beyond), I encourage you to show creators some love and appreciation! You may ask, "How, Miss Navy?" Just look between the candy corn dividers, made by the talented @saradika-graphics , and select a treat to send to any creator on this site. All treats, no tricks!

🍫 - Send a compliment to one of your favorite creators. 🍬 - Make a post showering creators with love and tag them. 🍭 - Ask a creator about one of their favorite creations. 💝 - Reblog a fic/gif set/graphics/work of art. Extra treat if you reblog with a comment! 🎁 - Encourage a creator to rec some of their favorite creators. 👻 - Tell a creator a fic, line, image, anything they've created that has stuck with you. 🎃 - Ask a creator about a current project or WIP.

And if we have to have our own fandom in the corner than so be it if the “main” fandom doesn’t accept us (kind of interesting this came in just when you and I were talking about the Cavill fandom so recently). We both love what we write, who we write and why we write. Fuck the rest who don’t like our stuff. I know I’m the first to question if I should be writing at the tiniest glimmer of doubt. But this fucking Anon fucked with my friend and made her fucking cry. I’m pissed now. Write what makes you happy, for you, and fuck anyone else who tells you to stop. They don’t own any fandom, no one does.

Please know you are loved and adored, as is your writing. And the fact that this Anon his behind Anon instead of being honest with who they are shows they are scared. Scared of you, scared of the fandom, scared of something. And therefore you shouldn’t believe a word they say. 💚

This anon had incredibly good timing as this ask came in when I was really on my knees anyway. So yeah that day was really shitty because of them.

But in the end it helped me a lot to get more confident in me and in my writing.

First of all, I love what I write. It's not for nothing that all of my stories appear in my comfort fic list. I read them over and over.

And then, there were so many wonderful people that in one way or another supported me and said so many nice things to me...

I don't know who this fandom elite is that anon thinks they are part of, but I don't care.

The ones that are important to me all were here for me and I don't want to be part of anything else.

I still think tumblr is the closest you can get to a supportive and positive community, so I gladly take a little anon hate when I get to meet people like you, too. Friendship is so much better than hate ❤️
