Michael “I’m Batman” Keaton
All but 12 18.5% of you need to reconsider your answer. There is only one batman.
I know people out there liked Bale but my favorite Batman was Keaton.
I really do think it's a bit of a generational divide. For me, it's Keaton all the way, as those Burton movies are my childhood. I enjoy the Nolan ones with Bale, but I don't connect with them in the same way. I think that equation is flipped for people from the generation after mine.
When my siblings and I had this conversation in front of our mom (we are all Gen X), and I said "Keaton is THE only Batman in my book," mom countered "and it's Adam West in mine." (For the record Mom rarely gets involved in our pop culture debates).
It's absolutely generational.
Beetlejuice (1988)
This movie is so instrumental in who I became.
