Writing? Who's writing?

Seemed to work for me last weekend to know others were out there typing their fingers to the bones, or at least typing a few words.

Who else is working on something? Whatcha got going?

Am trying to wrap up chapter 8 of Blinded By The Fog while the pup is exhausted from 2+ hrs at the dog park.

I hate emotions and feeeeeelings so much. How much? Just took a break from BBtF to go unload and reload the dishwasher AND do hand dishes which i loathe even more than dishwasher stuff.

Hates the feelings.

@peyton-warren since today was meant for me to some writing....that didn't happen. I ended up having a migraine and slept most of the time. But since I'm off tomorrow, I can work on it tonight!

Oh honey I am so sorry to hear that. It’s a rough day for some. I’m struggling with depression today and have a sad friend I care a lot about that I’m trying to support.

the scariest part about being a writer? pouring your heart and soul into this one fic that has taken literal months to piece together only to have this sick feeling in your stomach like it isn’t going to be a hit. not because it isn’t good, no, it’s worthy of a pulitzer, but just because readers won’t interact.

this is my message to my readers and all the readers out there: interact with your writer’s fics. someone can leave a seven word compliment along with a reblog on one of my stories and i’ll think about it for days. writers, good writers, have stopped writing because of the lack of feedback they get. nobody should get the amount of support to the point where they feel it’s worthless to do the thing they’re doing.

sharing your writing is hard. and sometimes it’s thankless. sometimes it’s such a negative experience that I wonder how anyone does it at all. but you are needed; you are wanted. whether or not we properly acknowledge it, you are a vital part of fandom culture. thanks for sharing.
