This young beastman took a liking to Gabriel when they first met. He is kind and honest, probably easy to manipulate also. Ruggie offers his friendship to the young man, which is the first step in gaining their trust.

When things seem to go down, Gabriel appears to be the first person who rushes to Ruggie's side. The hyena beastman feels terrible he tried to manipulate the new guy, so he tries harder to be truly kind to him.

Ruggie doesn't mind parties as long as he gets to eat and gets even happier if he hears that Gabriel has been baking into them. He absolutely ADORES whatever he makes and can't help but sometimes crowd himself with food until sick and in need of tummy rubs.

If Gabriel ever finds himself in trouble, Ruggie and the whole Savanaclaw have Gabriel's back. Since he is with Ruggie, Leader Leona's right-hand man, he has the power and numbers to back you up whatever comes against you.

When Gabriel shows that he adores and is just as protective over Ruggie as the hyena is of him, the sophomore's heart just bursts, and he asks if he knows how to make donuts?

Ruggie can immediately tell that you are new as you try to crack up a joke or two to break the ice. It's kinda cute how you worry also.

While you can be a little of a worrywart, Ruggie is easygoing so the two of you might not see eye to eye immediately, but the two of you learn as you go.

Ruggie tells you not to worry about other people's opinions and that you should only worry about yourself once in a while. Like he does! Once you get comfortable with him, you start opening up more and he does the same.

If you get one of those mood swings, he feels you might be low on energy, be it caffeine or sugar. When that happens, he tries to stay as close to you as possible because he knows you don't like being alone.

He doesn't like talking about his upbringing and you honor his wishes. He does mention though that his grandma would probably love you. When Ruggie is the one in the mood, he appreciates that you take the time to listen to him and try to make him feel better.

Ruggie makes sure to always listen to what you got to say, in case he might hear something interesting that he could perhaps use in the future. He learns that you prefer rainy days, nice clothing and so much more.

Ruggie has a lot of experience with lazy people, and trust me, you cannot be any lazier than Leona is. If you have something to do but you are procrastinating, Ruggie offers his help, but he wants something in return. He doesn't do anything without gaining something from it. A kiss? That may be just barely enough.

If you start acting impulsive he is there telling you to stop and think things through, in case you are about to do something dangerous or stupid.

Like kidnapping teacher Trein's cat Lucius. No, you can't do it, no you can't take the cat even for a second, and no, don't pet the cat without its master's permission.

Your clumsiness worries him a little, but you always or at least most of the time manage to come out of the poor situation with just minor bruises.

Ruggie comes from a poor family and has no extra money to spend on you. Instead, he does offer to become your taste judge if you're out shopping for clothes. He even carries your stuff for you.

If you find something that is expensive but clearly not worth the price, he stops you from getting it. Trust him, he knows, you will regret buying it if he doesn't stop you.

Three words. Dance Video Games. Ruggie is actually a decent dancer and he likes to show off his abilities against you in a dance-off. It's funny to create challenges and dares also. If he wins, you need to buy him a donut to enjoy. If you win, he gives you a kiss. Either way, you both win.
