There's this one bit of Mortis lore I've been playin around with a bit but I'm kinda goin back and forth between makin it canon 😭
It's a simple, kinda stupid idea based around Mortis getting some sorta body mod that he regrets
Completely forgot to elaborate on this LMAO
But YEAH Mortis lore time
After Mortis finally managed to get away from his extremely strict and religious parents/household, the first thing he wanted to do was rebel. At this point in time he was around 19-20 years old. He finally had a proper sense of autonomy, even if he didn't quite understand how to use it since he was so used to being controlled.
Mortis' idea of rebellion (at the time) was quite tame. He thought something as simple as getting a tattoo or piercing was extremely rebellious. So firsts things first, he got his ears pierced. He doesn't regret that specific body mod even at his current age (mid 40s). Rather it was another one that he got at a later time.
He built up the courage to get something a bit more permanent, that being a tattoo. Though he stupidly decided to get a tramp stamp of all things.
He ended up regretting that one, especially now that he's an exorcist.
Someone asked about this actually so I doodled a lil somethin last night
(The tattoo design isn't finalised btw I drew this at like 1am and was half asleep but I wanted to get it out of the way cuz I knew I'd forget if I didn't SOB)
