how do you do colors on your art? whenever i try it looks like a mess and the colors contrast way too much

I normally just pick similar colors 😭 or like, colors that are near eachother on the color wheel

I’d say keep practicing, and look at different art styles as reference :). I know it sound repetitive (because I’m pretty sure everyone says that) but it’s true :>

we are like the same age but i didnt learn art yet since ive focused on sewing and carpentry but maybe ill get good at art too!

I bet you will!!! Draw what your comfortable with :) I started off drawing cats and didn’t draw people until like 2020 (which actually seems pretty far away but I swear it wasn’t that long ago 😭)
