New snail sculptures incoming! These were made with a resin cast shell I sculpted and molded myself, and the small body is sculpted from polymer clay. :)

My car died this past weekend so I had to look for a new one, since I heavily rely on my car to get me to conventions. Luckily we found a new car that works wonderfully for what I need it to do.

I updated Instagram and for whatever reason it doesn’t want to play nice with tumblr anymore. :( Here I was, posting away yesterday, and today I realized that nothing made it here! So frustrating. I re-synced it but even then it doesn’t really work all the time. :/
Anyways, here’s what I did yesterday - some really pretty russet blue and dark silver tentacle earrings, a checkerboard cake I accidentally made too small so now it’ll be hanging earrings, and a sneak peak at some of the items going into my Mystery Boxes. :)

Poured the resin for the koi bucket today. I'm further behind on this than I wanted to be at this point. None of the craft stores near me had resin that wasn't yellow. >.< I finally found a tiny 8 oz kit that was fine. It’s finished! My largest dollhouse scale commission ever - 15 miniature cakes and cupcakes based on the customer’s mother’s real cakes from her bakery. :)
These were a lot of fun to make. I’ve never really tackled complex cakes before, so there was a steep learning curve as well. Mostly on how to recreate the decorations on such a small scale.
Since they were dollhouse sized (roughly 1:6 scale), I thought I’d bring out my bakery roombox and snap some pictures of them in there.
