A continuation from the last video. This one is a quick time lapse tutorial of how I make my rainbow lollipop charms. :) The only thing not shown is that I prebaked some white polymer clay "snakes" to use as the sticks for the lollipops. After the lollipop was assembled, it was baked at 275°F for 20 minutes. I use Premo brand clay, so make sure you read the packaging on your clay for baking instructions, since they may differ from mine. https://bonappeteats.etsy.com #handmade #polymerclay #miniatures #miniaturefood #foodjewelry #foodcharms #polymerclayfood #polymerclaycharm #food #charms #rainbow #pastel #lollipop #rainbowlolipop #tutorial #videos #animateflorida #etsy
Had to make a rainbow cane for some lollipops, so I thought I'd record the process. :) It's a very simple cane. All parts of the cane are mixed in a 1:1 ratio with translucent clay. The pastels were made by mixing each color with white clay until I got a shade I liked. https://bonappeteats.etsy.com #handmade #polymerclay #miniatures #miniaturefood #foodjewelry #foodcharms #polymerclayfood #polymerclaycharm #food #charms #rainbow #pastel #polymerclaycanes #tutorial #videos #animateflorida #etsy

I've reworked my post from 2012 and cleaned it up a bit. I've now added it to my blog for easier reference. :)
Eventually I'd like to expand this series a bit. What would you all like to see blog posts written about that you wish you would have known when you started with clay?
New blog post is up! Just a quick post of how to make sure you’re prepared for a show as a first time seller. :) I’ve gotten this question a lot, so I thought making a post would be helpful!
*Edited to add a link to the post. I can't believe I forgot it! D:*
My second blog post is finally up! It's a followup to my previous post - this time for the artists' perspective instead of the customer's.
I want to thank you all again for the amazing feedback I received when I was looking for points to include in this post. These are but a fraction of the suggestions I received:
- Being too pushy when selling.
- Leaving your table unattended.
- Discriminating against your customers.
Plus quite a few more really good suggestions I hadn't thought of myself. :) Feel free to leave more suggestions in the comments!
To those wondering how to clean up your clay, a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol work wonders. It takes a little patience but in the end the results are worth it. Top picture is before, bottom is after. Just don't use too much rubbing alcohol or your clay will turn into a soggy mess. And remember to let it the alcohol dry before you bake it! #handmade #polymerclay #miniaturefood #cheesecake #cosplay #props #tips #tutorial #wip
10 pairs of bacon earrings and still some cane left over! If you want to learn how I made my bacon, check out my bacon tutorial on my DeviantArt page. :) #handmade #polymerclay #miniaturefood #foodjewelry #bacon #earrings #jewelry #food #tutorial #metrocon #wip
Just wanted to say thank you for 900 followers on Instagram and over 8300 on tumblr (wow that's insane! ). Have a simple process picture of how I make my chocolate chip cookies. :) #handmade #polymerclay #miniatures #miniaturefood #tutorial #process #cookies #chocolatechip #dollhouse #food
Here it is - the candy corn tutorial! I ended up making a larger piece than a 1:12 piece because it was slightly easier to see. Like it says in the tutorial, you can easily adjust the size of these and make them much larger - or smaller! c: Let me know if there are any spelling errors; I went over it but I may have missed some. If you guys have any questions, please ask. :)
Also, this will be the last tutorial I post for a while since I'm working on making a booklet of tutorials for food (and possibly non food items), a shopping list for basic and advanced clay makers, and some general tips and tricks I've learned along the way. If all goes according to plan, I will have this booklet ready by the beginning of next year! c:
Here it is, the cherry pie tutorial I've been promising to finish up forever. :P Click through for a larger view. It was supposed to be a YouTube video, but my video editing software had an issue. :/ Ah well, it's done now at least! Here is the Pie Crust Tutorial I kept referring to.
Second part of the ice cream tutorial. This shows how I make both my soft serve and ice cream scoops. The way I make my soft serve is also the way I did my icing on the cupcakes. :) Part 1 - Cones: [link] ~~Other Tutorials~~ Rice Krispy Treats: [link] Fruit Tarts: [link] Grapes: [link] S'mores: [link] Bacon: [link] Eggs: [link] Pie Crusts/Toppings: [link] Waffle Texture: [link]
Part 1 of the promised ice cream tutorial. This section just covers on how to make a waffle cone. It was originally going to just be 1 tutorial, but it was too large. >.> Part 2 - Ice Cream: [link] ~~Other Tutorials~~ Rice Krispy Treats: [link] Fruit Tarts: [link] Grapes: [link] S'mores: [link] Bacon: [link] Eggs: [link] Pie Crusts/Toppings: [link] Waffle Texture: [link]
