I decided to try and challenge myself by making these standing Christmas tree cookies. It takes a few tries, but each one of these cookies will stand on their own. :) I'll have them in my Etsy shop by the end of the day.
Close up of the Snowflake cookies I had made for the assorted Christmas cookie platter before. I really need to make some more - they were a lot of fun to decorate. c: Plus they're one of my favorites out of all the cookies I've made. They're available here, as are the miniature peppermint hot chocolates: [link]
I loved the heart cookies with the candy canes so much I turned them into post earrings. c: They're really adorable and really detailed for the size. You can pick some up here: [link]
I know I said that this week would be pretty much miniature free, but I couldn't help myself. I sat down to work last night, opened the windows (since it was actually chilly outside!) and was just inspired and really in the Christmas mood. :D It started out with one set of cookies and I couldn't stop! So I ended up with: frosted snowflake sugar cookies, peppermint frosted sugar cookies, Christmas cookie cutter decorated sugar cookies, and heart shaped frosted sugar cookies with candy canes. All of the 1:12 cookies are made with polymer clay and individually hand decorated by me. c: They're also all available here: [link]
I was finally able to make my own snowflakes! You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to find a cookie cutter this size, so I improvised and came up with this. :) I'll have them up at some point as hanging earrings as well. Get a pair here: [link]
Picked up some new cookie cutters and made some necklaces that matched the earrings I put up the other day. :) I'll also be making a set like this as Christmas ornaments (for both mini and normal sized trees). They're available here: [link]
Also, my group on DeviantArt is holding their first contest! If you have a dA account and would like to participate, here's a link to the rules (and prize list!). c:
I know, I know, Christmas is ages away at this point, but I wanted to show off my new 1:12 cookie cutters! :) I think the little gingerbread man is by far my favorite one. It's the most fun of the four to decorate. Still need to purchase a few more (namely a bell) for my set to be complete. You'll see what I'm planning on doing with them once Christmas is a bit closer.
