Working on some different ideas for Adelita’s outfit one she’s officially adopted by Bruno.
Used old sketches then layered new outfit on top (I’m really tired). So which do you think? I kinda like the cool tones in contrast to her warm complexion, my friend likes the warm tones.

As for your question, totally need to write a full thing, but for now. Adelita is against celebrating on her actual birthday, which is on 2 de noviembre (November 2nd). She rather people spend the already important day with their respective families.
Much like Bruno, she isn’t one for large crowds. When they do finally celebrate her birthday, it’s generally just family. Adelita’s first birthday as Madrigal stressed Bruno out. Everything had to be perfect for his little Lita’s fifth birthday. However, stuck in his own head, trying to make everything perfect, he neglected to hear what Lita actually wanted.
She’d built a pillow fort with Antonio and want the family to join them. She later tells her Pa she doesn’t need things to be perfect to be happy. First off, she’ll love anything he does because at least he’s there and trying. Second, sometimes, at least in her opinion, the imperfect’s preferable.
Bruno joins Lita and family in the big fort they’ve all created and they enjoy each other’s company in to the late hours.
