Okay but what if Della went to the moon and brought the eggs with her? Au?
DT93 AU
The globe-trotting treasure-hunting adventures of the world’s most beloved billionaire Scrooge McDuck and his nephew, niece and ward.
To look after her husband Hortense McDuck leaves her children Donald and Della Duck in the care of their industrious uncle, Scrooge McDuck. Although reluctant to do so because of his continual pursuit of increasing his wealth, events soon have them, along with Scrooge’s ward, April, on countless adventures.
All things considered, the base of the Au is fairly simple. The AU chronicles the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his kin in the far out year of 1993 and potentially beyond.
In the AU Scrooge takes occasional care of his niece and nephew. On occasions when their parents need a break, such as when they placed a firecracker beneath their Dad’s chair, or when they have a scheduled visit, Scrooge looks after them. Unlike DuckTales 1987 and the subsequent reboot, Donald and Della don’t merely live with Scrooge. They visit now and again.
During “The First Adventure,” although reluctant, Scrooge takes the twins with him to recover the Papyrus of Binding. Unlike the original adventure, Scrooge’s opinion of his kin "obnoxious niece and nephew" doesn’t change to "my heirs and beloved family” with in a day. Instead, while his opinion shifts, upon seeing how smart and resourceful they are, it will take several more adventures before he considers them his “heirs.”
The AU also sees the introduction of April Caledon.
April is Scrooge’s ward (how she comes into his custody is better left for later.) She’s a kind-hearted young lass who endeavors to avoid confrontation. Though, despite her best efforts, Donald and Della drag her into their schemes. (I feel like a trio of main kids has more possibilities than a duo.)
It takes time for Scrooge to accept Della and Donald as his “heirs”. And as the children go along on Scrooge’s adventures, they’re going to find that “not every great adventure is dangerously daring,” and “someone always gets hurt.”
If you have any questions about the AU put it in my ask box and I would be happy to answer them.

Not Being Della's Favourite
A scene from Flicker and Fade by @stargaze-sunflower
As soon as I read chapter 4, I felt motivated to make comics from that ending scene\(≧▽≦)/I might have kinda misplaced walls in Webby’s room, so please ignore this ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ
They are just a pair of definitely real boys your honor
Author’s notes
i’ve been wanting to draw for this AU for so long - so here it is! Louie’s Mansion AU - where the mcduck family gets invited to a fancy hotel for vacation, but turns out, it was all a ruse by magica de spell, who is a ghost instead of a shadow in this AU. now it’s up to louie to rescue his family! oh, and louie finds a ghost kitty to follow him around. (the first two drawings were sketched by the lovely @sassphie, i lined and colored them. the rest is entirely by me.)
Absolutely love this fic! I love reading fics where the lead is feeling vulnerable. The author is amazing, I’ve been getting into their works recently and they’re all incredible.
- Gyro, do you have any friends? (whoo that’s a lot of #)
Really coming at me with the feels. This is absolutely incredible!!!💗
An AU where the triplets (and Webby?) go to private school would be pretty cool! And a change of scenario. It's not common to see stories like that unless it's someone writing a very fancy, exagerated thing. Not saying you gotta write a fanfic about it, but if you ever write a post with your take on it, I'd like very much to read it.
Oh man I have THOUGHTS on these kiddos going to a private school
SO MY THOUGHTS:
Instead of adventures and hijinks and shenanigans and danger, Donald takes the initiative to say “what a minute, hold on, lets wait a couple years” because he remembers being 10 and going on world bending outings with his uncle, and while it was fun, it was also extremely dangerous and life threatening, and he’s still dealing with trauma of it all. So he thinks that his own kids should wait a hot sec first. Get an education. Grow a bit as children before tossing them in the pulse racing adventures that follow Scrooge McDuck like a shadow.
Did I actually take clips from DuckTales (2017) and timed them accordingly to the original version of the theme song? Yes. Yes, I did.
(This started out as a fun idea that popped into my head literally last night, which was inspired by this video by @sophieandace. Because of today's news, I am now posting this to celebrate DuckTales' hiatus FINALLY ending in April! …Plus, it's been blowing up like crazy on Twitter.)
Me in 30 years when Ducktales gets rebooted again:
See you then, kids.
Has anybody put it together that if Max Goof was in college by the time of DuckTales season three rolled around, he would have been an acceptable age to babysit the triplets when they were younger?
Yeah, yeah. You can tell me Max and Goofy live in Spoonerville so he'd never have been around to watch the triplets.
To that I ask you, "You don't think Goofy, Goofy Goof, single parent, ever dropped everything to help his Donald raise three infants? Knowing the struggles of being a single parent, you don't think Goofy ever drove him and his son cross country to help his best pal?"
- Besides, imagine Max babysitting the little triplets, so his dad can take Donald out for a break.
- Imagine Max being simultaneously the coolest, and most overprotective babysitter the boys have.
- Imagine Max always letting little Huey sit on his shoulders, so he could be as tall as he dreamed.
- Imagine little Dewey drumming on pots and pans, rocking out to Powerline with Max.
- Imagine Max letting little Louie use his hoodie as a comfort blanket when he gets too overwhelmed.
- Imagine Max developing a brotherly relationship with the boys as they grow up.
- Imagine the boys still zooming with big brother Max once he goes to college.
- Imagine their pride when they tell Max about their adventures with Scrooge.
I’ll admit I might have gone off on a tangent but like… IMAGINE. (Where are the fanfics? Where’s the fanart?)
Now I’m just imagining Max and Goofy going to visit Duckburg, and Max being left to babysit all the kids (because of course Donald would want to introduce his whole family to one of his oldest friends) while the adults go out to dinner or something to catch up. And Max being warned that there’s a very good chance that something paranormal is going to happen seeing as this is a sleepover and Max just assuming they mean they’re gonna bust out a ouija board only for Magica to attack or something.
Now I'm imagining the triplets freaking out because their cool "brother" Max is coming to visit.
Huey prepping to show Max all the skills he's learned from the Junior Woodchucks since the last time they were together.
Louie panicking because Max always see him in his green hoodie and he needs to figure out the perfect con for the both of them to run while Max is in town.
And Dewey stressing because what if Max doesn't think adventuring is cool enough. He tries to teach himself how to skateboard in a day just to impress the Goof kid.
Webby freaking out because of how cool the boys made Max sound and so obviously she needs to work hard to make sure she impresses their friend/brother figure.
Even when Webby tries to be “normal” she just can’t. Imagine her showing Max all her artefacts, the McDuck family conspiracy history board, and offering to dig into his family history (she won’t stop until she knows all his family secrets). But then apologizing, realizing she might be being too weird and intense. However Max is just like can I adopt you!?
Max gets to Duckburg with three little “brothers” and leaves with four little “brothers” (HDL + Boyd) and six little “sisters” (Webby, May, June, Lena, Violet, and Gosalyn)
Max Goof the ULTIMATE big brother
