I’m still having t100 s6 finale thoughts dammit
- I wonder if the Anomaly caught all of Clarke’s radio calls and will relay them slowly and painfully back to Bellamy next season? Probably not, but a girl can dream. After all, why else build the massive radio shrine?
- Okay, JRoth said the Anomaly isn’t time travel, but - a bubble outside of time, right? There’s definitely some timey-wimey shit going on, for one thing there’s adult!Hope.
- I think Octavia wasn’t really there, in some weird way. No one’s ever left the Anomaly before, and I think that remains true. I think she was older/outside time!Octavia, projected back into her body at the moment she became one with the Anomaly (or something like that), to give herself and Bellamy closure. Look at all that closure they got. It was beautiful. A bit like Abby’s Farewell Tour, y/y?
- “You’re my sister, but you’re not my responsibility.” godDAMN show, that was good.
- For once, t100 actually has me speculating about their plot. I mean, it wasn’t my favourite finale in terms of, like, excitement, and I preferred the character eps beforehand, but damn, I am still thinking about it - so, well played, JRoth. I like this scifi stuff you’re trying out.
ALSO
- “Tell him it’s done.”
- What’s done? Octavia’s farewell tour? Or something else? I’m trying to remember if there was anything on-screen that O did, even something innocuous... Things she specifically did, that might not have happened otherwise: she stopped the flame woman from killing everyone in that hut, and... uh...
- Maybe it wasn’t on-screen, t100 don’t feel the need to show us everything and let us work it out.
- He who? I can’t think of anyone specifically missing/mentioned who it could be, so I’m assuming this will be a new character, one of the ones who Never Left The Anomaly.

You don’t get it. If Bellamy knows Clarke is dead, then all of this is for nothing. You may as well kill us all now.

aka that one when no one knew the real danger was in finding out Clarke was alive
Ahem. Russell. Pal. Friend. Asshole. I would just like to point out that every
previous
apocalypse
was as a direct result of something your people did. Sure, Clarke and Bellamy and the rest have killed a few people in their struggle to keep the human race alive in the smoking ruins of civilisation, they’re not angels, but it was YOUR GENERATION who burned the Earth, not once, not twice, but three times.
And now you’ve brought the same selfish attitude to Earth 2, refusing to relinquish what you believe you own, even when you should have been dead and buried for 200 years...
Tsk, tsk, Russell Lightbourne VII. Tsk fucking tsk.
(For reference: Russell murdered his family in 2045, McCreary et al went into cryo in 2047, and A.L.I.E. dropped the bombs in 2052.)

Whilst on the whole I think it's good, from a storytelling perspective, that season 7 had been confirmed and therefore they knew they could use season 6 as part of a larger story (and - even if I don't necessarily trust that I'll agree with his ideas of what a 'good story' entails - I actually trust that JRoth has plans and isn't just winging it)... ARGH CLIFFHANGER AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SEASON 7 COMES OUT AND PROBABLY NOT EVEN THE BEGINNING OF IT PROBABLY IT'S NOT ALL GOING TO BE EXPLAINED UNTIL HALFWAY THROUGH AND NOT RESOLVED UNTIL THE END THAT’S LIKE A YEAR AWAY I’M GONNA DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE.
In which Bellamy has selective party amnesia…
Will she ever tell Bellamy that story?
What I'd like for Echo’s development is for her to realise that being with Bellamy, while great, is partly about her needing to justify her presence in the group, looking for a role that means she is needed, to establish her cover story, almost. And that if she ever wants to fix that part of her that was broken by Nia when she was a child, she needs to know that she can be accepted on her own, for herself, and not as someone’s plus one - and then she breaks up with him.
All that time, those six years, and she never opened up enough to tell him the truth about herself – I think their relationship is good, but I also don't feel like it's forever, y’know? It helped them both to heal, to have something positive in their lives, something a little selfish and indulgent and good, but impermanent. Because living in a tin can with six other people for six years isn’t the worst thing they’ve had to endure, but nevertheless it was a situation to be survived, and that was one of the ways how.
That would be my best-case scenario for how this could go. Pleasedon’tkillEchopleasedon’tkillEchopleasedon’tkillEchopleasedon’tkillEcho...

Presumably Clarke cycled the Morse code letters, hoping that someone would be picking up on them. Which, depending on when you pick up on it, looks like any of these:
A L I V E
L I V E A
I V E A L
V E A L I
E A L I V
