Penguin Melon's Art Emporium

I was in the mood for a little late night sketching session a couple days ago, and thought it would be fun to draw some marvel characters I'd never drawn before.

I'm super happy with how Red Skull turned out. I sketched him in charcoal and then added some color with watercolor. Not a combo I'd tried before, but I really enjoyed it, it might be a new goto for me.

I was a little hesitant to the add the blood splatter, since I was already happy the drawing and didn't want to ruin it. But sometime you have to take risks with your art, and I'm glad I did, the splatter was the perfect finishing touch.

I also drew Crossbones and Groot. Crossbones only turned out okay, but I'm pretty happy with Groot. I used a Skottie Young cover as reference. I love the way he draws groot.

I haven't posted anything here in ages, so here's a ballpoint pen drawing of Harm from Young Justice I drew last March and somehow forgot to post.

Did some Jem sketches on the couch while watching Miss Marple. I think Shana turned out okay, the others are a little... questionable.

I haven't painted anything in a while. so I thought I would do a quick and loose watercolor piece for world otter day.
