South African rapper and producer, Your Boy,SK's latest EP "Up In The Air"

Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Legendary has, again, produced a project from beyond the gates of heaven. SK’s second project release for 2016 following up the “As Within EP” that dropped in February. The free EP is SK’s first project with collaborations on both the vocal and production end and features some new, unique faces. The 8-track project is riddled with codes and hidden messages for those ready to understand the message Your Boy is spreading. The “Up In The Air EP” picks up where the previous project left off. After a very introspective look at SK in his previous project, the new EP is filled with a much happier vibe, a whole lot more light hearted material while still maintaining the heavenly sound. Samples from Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake appear on the project, giving you a sense of nostalgia – hinting at throwbacks – but these cuts are relived in a manner likened to Mount Olympus talent show.

The EP embodies a very fresh and crisp sound. Something South Africa’s music industry is still getting used to. Featured production from Legendary’s production group “GXX” and both the other members of Legendary MANG$ and $pheezy are firsts on this project, transitioning the listener through the different phases of the project with their production on the interludes. Along with a feature from Australian vocalist Ash-Leigh Barr is also a first for SK, adding a females touch on the song “$$$$ x DRVGS”. Floral Tribe’s HUMPHRXY also features on this project reflecting The Floral Tribe’s new KAMI sound.
