When writing Garak, the author must fill themselves with depraved, lustful pining for Julian Bashir.

If one is asexual, or otherwise lacking in such affections towards the dear doctor, picturing a gorgeous behemoth of a sandwich piled high with fresh toppings, thick bread toasted just so, leaking dressing onto its plate and cut in twain, but remaining one dollar short of buying it, is a suitable substitution.

#outside of starflleet just among random average people#probably Spock#but in like a ‘fun fact’ way#he’s the guy who came back from the dead#he’s the first human-Vulcan hybrid#etc#within starfleet it’s probably either still Spock#or it’s Kirk#I feel like it’s both-almost always mentioned in relation to each other#since so much of what they did in the fleet involved them as a command team#Spock was a scientist a captain and an ambassador at various points in his career tho#so there’s just a greater variety of things ppl might know him from

#op i know this is literally a meme but that is#that is 100% what the t'hy'la bond is#it's a bond forged between warriors who fight side by side#they aren't soulmates because they were just spat out fully formed to be perfect for each other#they spent so much time together getting to know each other protecting each other accepting each other#and they loved and accepted and protected each other so hard that they both started reflecting the shape of each other's soul#they 100% tied that knot themselves#and it's all the stronger for it
