Keep on trekkin’
One day on the starship Enterprise, Commander Spock saw Captain Kirk walking very strangely down the corridor.
“Captain,” asked the curious Vulcan, “may I ask what you are doing?”
“Oh, just a little something I learned in my studies of Old Earth,” answered the Captain. “They called it ‘Keep on truckin’.”
“What strange human thought of that?” Spock inquired further.
“As far as I know, someone named Robert Crumb created the concept and the walk back in the 1960s,” said Kirk. “I think it was a way of showing optimism, happiness, and a laid-back attitude, though I’m not sure.”
After witnessing Kirk’s strange walk, Spock decided to try it himself. “This is an inefficient way of travelling,” Spock admitted, “not to mention illogical.”
A few minutes later, Dr. McCoy stepped out of his office and noticed the two officers “truckin’” past him. “You keep that up,” he warned, “and you’ll both end up in Sick Bay!”
“Perhaps it would be prudent not to ignore the doctor’s orders,” suggested Spock.
“Guess I’m not one to disagree with you,” admitted Kirk as the two men straightened up and continued walking normally.

The phrase “Keep on trekkin’” was used in TV ads for Star Trek back in the mid-70s.
Hope you like this, and “Keep on truckin’/trekkin’!”
