  King Steve never believed in the whole soulmate idea. He found it certifiably insane for someone to think that someone was made specifically for one person, it was baffling to him. Not only did the idea of commitment send a shockwave akin to the eight-point-zero magnitude earthquake through his body, but the idea of committing to one person blew his feeble little mind. How could someone become so in love with one person? Was it just that it is actually just socially acceptable to have affairs and simply never talk about it? He didn’t understand it. He couldn’t comprehend the rhotic lacing romance novels and movies. How could someone be so obsessed with someone that they devote their whole life to this one person? How could someone be so obsessed with someone that can be happy spending their whole life around someone? Because, certainly, his parents are not happy spending their whole lives together.

hello lovelies! normally in the summer i am able to get some writing done but it has been so hectic lately! and, now that i have some time, i've realized that i am suffering from writers block! and it's pretty intense! i've tried writing for the characters that normally break me out of writers block, i've tried working on some of the series i am trying to finish. however, alas, nothing is working. in a last ditch effort, i thought about having an event since these usually break me out of my funk.

additionally, i noticed that i'm at 1.1k followers (when the heck did that happen lovelies??) and i never did a celebration for it - oops! so, two birds with one stone, eh? anywho! long story long, i decided to do an event! (i will literally use any excuse!)

 Steve, poor innocent and unsuspecting Steve, was leaning against the counter of Family Video. With his eyes looking up at the girl across the counter from, his elbows digging into the countertop. The air between them was hot with tension, her pink-tinted lip was tucked between her teeth, her address scrawled on a scrap piece of paper, her fingers ready to slide that piece of paper towards him. He was so close to securing another date with an actual girl - he was finally coming out of his Scoops Ahoy-induced slump.

a/n: this is a re-write of wedding crasher that fits the song better and fits my writing style better. the original version will still be available on my stranger things masterlist. This was a fun fic to write and (admittedly) helped me overcome some nasty writer's block. it also set me behind in my assignments but we are not going to talk about that (whoops). The old, musty-smelling church was filled to the brim (it did not hold large groups of people anyway) with chattering guests ranging in age. Above the chattering, the family sat in the front few pews on the right side that stood out due to their matching colour scheme of varying pastel colours. Steve noted that these most likely could be the groom’s immediate family, the family that are going to be Y/N’s in-laws in mere minutes. He shifted in his seat, trying to stay hidden behind the old lady’s obnoxiously large hat as the Groom started up the aisle, laughing and talking with his best man. “Jessie looks like it’s any other day, doesn’t look nervous at all!” Robin whispered to Max. Steve was sitting between them, being Robin’s plus-one (which he forced her to accept). He understood why Y/N hadn’t invited him, how could you justify inviting your most important ex to your wedding?

Terror at Starcourt Mall: Steve's Ending (s.h.)

a/n: so, i ended up changing episode eight up and straying from the actual plot for the show, but it's nothing insane or anything. i ended up re-writing this whole ending and that is why the series drop was so late... whoops. i ran out of things to say in these author notes a few parts ago - i am deeply sorry. my head is empty.

She is one of my moots and one of the first friends I made on this platform! You guys should definitely check out some of her work and she has recently revamped her blog! I love this song with all my heart so I was beyond excited to get a request with this as a prompt! So, without further ado, I present this fic to you lovelies! Hope you guys enjoy it💛!

Disclaimer: Eternal Flame came out on the album Everything in 1988, but for this fic (set after season three - 1985/86) let's just say it came out around then.

There are a lot of things in life that are hard to navigate. Growing up, your thoughts, school - and that’s just to name a few, but there is one thing that is the hardest to navigate (let alone deal with) and that was feelings. Romantic feelings were pesky things that cause a flurry of butterflies to flutter around your stomach, making you feel both enlightened and like throwing up all at the same time, that also causes your mind to turn to mush at any given second, that made you question everything and anything about yourself. Y/N hated romantic feelings, but in the past, she had found them somewhat navigable, but her ability to navigate the troublesome tangle of those stupid feelings slipped past her fingers the second they became tangled with her familial feelings.

Of course, she thought she was perfectly fine when she struck up a friendship with her twin’s ex-boyfriend, but she was proven horribly wrong within six months of their friendship when she finally clued in that the little fires burning under her skin whenever he touched her wasn’t just because he produced an unnatural amount of body heat. To top it all off, his actions were completely unreadable now that it was revealed that he actually had a heart that cared for more than popularity and hair products like she once believed. Normally, she could figure out if someone liked her, but with Steve, his soft touches and warm gaze confused her. She couldn’t tell if the softening of his eyes when they looked at each other was his natural, kind self or if he was envisioning a golden circle surrounding her like an angel. But the worst part of it was, it didn’t matter if he did like her back, it wasn’t like it would work out. He dated her sister, her better-at-everything sister. How could she even compare to Nancy? How could they date without it being completely weird? However, even though it was utterly hopeless, the flame within her heart burned warm and relentless, warming her body with misery and love.

I said that I would post this tomorrow a few hours ago, but I had sometime before I went to bed so I’m posting it now! Also, it wasn’t specified what pronouns to use, so I used my default (she/her) like I outlined in my Request Rules! If you want me to change them to your preferred ones anon, let me know!! 

If anyone tried to come up with a single thing Y/N hated more than her job, they would be hard-pressed to do so. So hard-pressed that they might even fry their brain. It wasn’t that she wasn’t thankful for the job, no, it was the ridiculous sailor theme. First off, the stupid hat and uniform made her want to shrivel up every-time she put it on - hating the dorkiness of it. Second, the damn cheery tune that played all day every day and had even managed to appear in her dreams, Steve (her co-worker) had to hold her back from ripping the speakers out. But the thing she hated the most? The stupid greeting she was required to say.  She dreaded every shift, having to drag herself into the parlor despite her immense desire to burn the place to the ground. An arson charge is better than having to put up with that torture.

  Arriving at her shift, she was met by Steve and Robin, who looked equally displeased to be there as well. “There she is, our little ball of sunshine,” Robin greeted sarcastically. Y/N only grunted in response, shoving the swinging door open. Robin and Steve followed her into the back room, having no customers whatsoever since it was still early in the morning. “Don’t you look happy to be here?” She continued her sarcastic remarks, smirking at the grumpy girl.

  A/N: This is for the request asking for a Steve x Reader where the reader was like Jade West from Victorious (also known as one of my bi awakenings). I am sorry for the delay, this Thanksgiving was crazy (I’m Canadian) and there was so much to do! I tried my best to write the reader like Jade without having her not vibe with the kids bc we all know that the kids come first with Steve. Now, without farther ado, here is the request!   Opposites attract. Something everyone has heard before. It can be applied to magnets or to relationships. While there was no denying that when it came to magnetic pulls, opposites did indeed attract, but Steve was never too sure about it in a relationship sense. He had always gone after girls who fit his lifestyle. Parties, the popular crowd, the girls who fit in to societies expectations. It wasn’t until he had met Y/N that he had realized that maybe everyone was right. Just like magnets, opposites attract did apply to relationships as well. He could not think Robin enough for introducing the hard headed, sometimes (all the time) scary girl who Steve would have never approached. A goofy guy such as Steve paired with the rocker chick who intimidated nearly everyone? Steve had never thought that would be possible outside of the movies.

 Sitting in the driver's seat of her car, she listened to her brother ramble on and on about only two subjects: this new girlfriend named Suzie and Steve Harrington. When she had moved to Hawkins, she had thought him to be an egotistical asshole who only cared about a title and he had proven her right through his actions until one day when he suddenly just wasn’t. Suddenly, Steve was the boy who was dating Nancy Wheeler and hanging around with Jonathan Byers. He no longer was ‘King Steve’ (the king title being passed to Billy Hargrove), he no longer had Tommy H. and Carol as his two annoying shadows. Ophelia wasn’t quite sure what happened between the three, but it must have been pretty big.
