hello lovelies! normally in the summer i am able to get some writing done but it has been so hectic lately! and, now that i have some time, i've realized that i am suffering from writers block! and it's pretty intense! i've tried writing for the characters that normally break me out of writers block, i've tried working on some of the series i am trying to finish. however, alas, nothing is working. in a last ditch effort, i thought about having an event since these usually break me out of my funk.

additionally, i noticed that i'm at 1.1k followers (when the heck did that happen lovelies??) and i never did a celebration for it - oops! so, two birds with one stone, eh? anywho! long story long, i decided to do an event! (i will literally use any excuse!)

a/n: this was requested by someone who wanted a jj fic inspired by coney island. of course, in true pappydaddy fashion, i could not leave this on an angsty note since i am a slut for angst with a happy ending.

to me, coney island is telling a story of two people who are assuming their roles in the destruction of their relationship. they are both taking responsibility for the roles they played in ruining their relationship, but i also feel like the major downfall was them not communicating and making these assumptions without actually talking to one another. this is what this fic portrays.

i must admit, it is not too long as i am trying to have shorter fics as opposed to the essays i've been posting. plus, i am still keeping with my outline for folklore/evermore and i do not want to encroach on my stiles series that comes with that. i am also extremely rusty and experiencing heavy writers block so i am very sorry if this is not what you guys expected (i am a virgo, i am setting unattainable goals and expectations for myself).

A/N: I know I have a few requests still to get out, but I was listening to Heather the other night and I just can’t get my mini-series out of my head so here is the third part to Heather that nobody asked for! I am working on those requests so don’t worry! They will be out soon!

Sorry this took so long to actually get published. I was trying to publish the last two requests I have first, but that has proven difficult as my brain refuses to come up with a name for one (the same one that ended up longer than I expected). So, instead of just not posting and stewing in this issue (which would make it worse) I decided to continue to write on my days off and hope I come up with something so I can finish these requests for you lovelies!

Anywho, I hope you enjoy the final instillment of the Heather series! I am definitely going to miss writing the series, it was fun, but all good things must come to an end eventually I guess. But, on a postive note, I have a lot of new fics lined up to work on/finish working on/publish AND I have the Fearless Collection masterlist ready to publish! Nothing had changed. The entire school year had passed with only quick shared glances and tight lipped smiles. Sometimes, if JJ was lucky, he would be able to hear her voice as she talked to someone else or the group would correctly guess her section at The Wreck. While he lived off those few seconds of interaction, they killed her inside. Sure, Heather wasn’t in the picture, having moved on with some Kook who was a much better fit for her, but that didn’t erase the hurt she felt. She might not ever come to terms with the fact that JJ would never feel the same way about her as she felt about him, but she had to try; even if that meant distancing herself from him.

She couldn’t take the feeling of her heart being ripped apart anymore. She couldn’t take the nights spent crying into her pillow, the hours spent comparing herself to the girls he had been involved with before - wracking her brain to figure out what they had that she didn’t or how she could be more like them. She hadn’t been functioning properly, consumed by the anguish and the wish that she could just have him look at her the way she looked at him for even a second. Loving JJ was the only thing she knew, but she needed to forget that. She needed to live a healthy life and the first step towards that was to get over him.
