Ah yes my favorite twin that I don’t write for as much as I should, Fred ml <3 thanks for this request it’s lovely, here you go and enjoy (you worded it perfectly 🧡)
Fred had been brutally beating up his thumb with biting as he stares off at you on the other side of the room, a ravenclaw bloke coming up to you and seemed to be in a very friendly conversation.
He looked down at his food and decided to take a bite, maybe to stop himself from staring at you that way.
“Freddie!” Your voice rang from beside him as you took a seat and sighed grabbing his bowl of cereal and helping yourself to some. “Why do you look so miserable?” You chewed, looking up at your ginger friend, he figured you knew how to read him and his expressions.
Fred raised a brow and watched you as you ate his food. “Me? Miserable? Don’t be silly.” Fred laughed, shifting in his seat uncomfortably.
“Okay.” You shrugged and handed him his bowl back. “Who was he?” Fred turned his attention on you as you wiped your mouth with a cloth. “Hm? Oh, right. Michael, he just wanted my notes because he wasn’t paying attention in class the other day.” You said, fixing your blue and silver tie.
“He looked too comfortable to be only asking for notes.” He pressed on, he wouldn’t admit this to you but he was reeking with jealousy, Fred had no idea how he started falling for you but it caught him completely off guard and his feelings felt so unbearable at times.
You only chuckled as your face went red. “It’s just notes, Freddie.” You spoke with an uncomfortable chuckle, seeing how you were glancing at your house table waiting for them to attend classes every few seconds. “Michael? I wouldn’t think so.” Fred said but you gathered yourself and stood up, as the rest of your house did.
“Freddie, sorry I need to go. Class, see you.” You hurried yourself out to catch up with your friends, making sure Michael wasn’t anywhere near you.
Fred huffed in annoyance and kicked the table with his foot, if anything he hated the most is when you ignored him, which you’d been doing that a lot lately.
You liked to have your own time to study and read books and catch up on school work which he couldn’t help but get more clingy.
Fred came to one conclusion, or many. Which is that you were probably in a relationship with one of your ravenclaw buddies, or perhaps it was that Michael git.
He swore left and right he’d never feel that controlling or jealous if he ever liked a girl but when it comes to you? He wished he’d lock you up and not have you look at anyone else but him, he shook the craziness out of his brain. If he wanted you, he’ll get you without any of that rubbish crazy crap. That was not how he wanted things to be and it’s about time he dropped the attitude, if he tried hard enough.
His thoughts were eating at him as he waited for you to show up after class, you had not.
Realizing that he’d had enough and he was desperate for answers, finding himself waiting for you outside the ravenclaw tower.
He was aware he was too desperate for your attention but it was now or never.
Finally you made your appearance, many books in hand as you smiled when you saw him. “Hi! What are you doing here?”
“Are you mad at me?” Fred started, not wanting to wait anymore. “Fred, what?”
His heart twisted at the lack of use of his nickname. “Fred? You never call me Fred.” convinced something was up now.
“You’re not making any sense.” You said looking up at Fred’s frown. “I’m still here you know.” He mumbled. “Your books and that git Michael are more important than me now?” Fred spat before your eyes widened. “Michael? He’s just a house mate, Freddie. It’s nothing.” You added, not knowing why you felt the need to explain yourself.
“But you never have time for me anymore, today you blew me off for class and I haven’t seen you all day.”
You blinked twice, trying to comprehend what you did that was so wrong. “I have so much crap to catch up to, I was at the library the whole time.. Freddie that’s not fair you know.” You snapped, feeling all the stress fall onto your shoulders along with a clingy ginger that was nagging at your brain.
“And I miss you!” He bellowed and you felt like you were arguing with a living cat that wanted belly rubs and treats.
“I don’t have time for this.”
“No, you just don’t have time for me.” Fred interrupted.
“Yes I don’t have time for you, too. I’m sorry it’s just too much, I can’t handle your jealousy and clinging which I really appreciate but I’m so suffocated.” You snapped at him, shaking from head to toe.
“But you have time to speak with Michael don’t you!?” Fred spat, irrationally.
“Will you stop talking about Michael?! I don’t have time for boys, if that’s what you’re so worried about.” You scoffed. “I am worried about that, actually!” Fred wouldn’t drop this, his brain all fogged.
“Why?!” You shouted, none of this making any sense to you. “Because I bloody like you! And I miss you and I miss us, you never find time for me it feels horrible.” As soon as Fred realized what he’d told you his palm was clapped over his mouth, not wanting to have confessed to you that way.. over an argument were you’re clearly mad at him.
Your face fell, the grip on your books loosened as did your tense shoulders. “I’m sorry I made you feel like you weren’t important to me.. you are so important to me, Freddie.” You said, which made his heart flip and turn. “But was that whole scene necessary?” You asked before he dropped his hand from his mouth. “You didn’t need to argue with me over this, could have just told me you had feelings for me instead of jumping to conclusions that I’m with Michael, whose not even my type.”
Fred felt shame soak him from head to toe, he was so blinded by jealousy he couldn’t have thought of any other way to approach this other than blame you for something that hadn’t been your fault. “I’ve never.. I’ve never liked anyone like this before.” Fred started before he realized how dumb that sounded and that it was no excuse.
“I meant that I’m sorry for disappointing you. I know you don’t like it when I’m being dumb.”
“I just don’t want you to overthink your place in my heart, I love you, Freddie.” You reassured him, the L bomb is constantly thrown between you two but this time made him feel extra fuzzy.
“I love you, too.” Fred replied as you smiled and pinched his lovely red cheek. “I’ll go put my books inside and come hang out, wait for me, yes?” Before you got to finish you saw him eagerly nodding, chuckling at his adorable face before you got inside and placed your stuff and went on with your favorite person in the world.
